Ryan's POV

I sighed as I sat in traffic, coming back from the airport. I was so glad to finally be home and see my wife in person instead of a phone screen.

Brianne hasn't been saying much since the other night when the pregnancy test was negative. What if Brianne was right and I am broken? What if years of smoking affected my fertility? I'm such a screw up!

I arrived home, got my things out of the car and walked inside the house. "Brianne? Bri?" I called throughout the house. I set my stuff down and walked upstairs to the bedroom, seeing Brianne asleep in the bed.

A smile appeared on my face as I crept into the bedroom, taking my shoes off. I climbed into the bed, wrapping my arms around Brianne's waist. She stirred a bit in her sleep, sinking into my chest. I gently kissed her temple and rested my chin on her head. I closed my eyes and sighed, relaxing into the bed.

***************

I woke up to an empty bed and heard noise coming from downstairs. I stretched, sitting up and went downstairs to see Brianne sitting on the couch, watching mom vlogs on Youtube.

Oh no.

"What'cha doing?" I asked, walking over to the couch.

"Youtube." She sighed looking at me and stretched out her arms. "Cuddle?"

I smiled sitting behind Brianne and pulled her into my chest. She brought her phone closer so we could both watch the screen. The vlog showed a pregnant woman getting an ultrasound done, listening to the baby's heartbeat.

"Bri, I don't think it's healthy to watch this."

"I'll watch what I want."

Woah, okay Miss Attitude. I took the phone out of her hands, turning off the screen.

"Give me my phone back."

"Brianne, you need to stop watching these. It's causing you to put so much pressure on yourself."

"No it's not!" She said, reaching for her phone. "Ryan, I will bite your arm off."

"Won't be the first time you bit me and won't be the last. Brianne got up from the couch and walked into the dining room, grabbing her laptop. "I'll take that off you too."

She let out a frustrated growl, setting her laptop on the coffee table. "Why am I banned from watching Youtube?"

"Why are you obsessed with mom vlogs?"

"I am not."

"Brianne."

"Because..." She said, sitting down. "Why can't that be us? Clearly something's wrong with me, Ryan." Brianne cried.

I knelt in front of her and took her hands in mine, looking into her eyes. "Nothing is wrong with you. The doctor said you're fine, Brianne."

"Then why? Why isn't there a baby in my arms?"

I sighed and kissed her hands. "Don't cry. I know it's frustrating, believe me. What if...what if I went and got checked by the doctor?"

"Ryan, you know I didn't mean what I said that night."

"I know, but driving back from the airport I was thinking, what if I am the problem?"

Brianne sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Then we'll see a doctor, but you aren't the problem, Ryan. Maybe it's just not the right time?"

I grabbed Brianne by the shoulders and stared directly into her eyes. "We're having a baby and that's final."

Brianne leaned forward, pressing her lips against mine. She pulled away, smiling at me. "I love you."

"I love you too and I'm going to give you a baby no matter what."
