Today I was in the studio and back to work, only this time I had a one year old to look after. Matt was entertaining Carson while I was busy with a photo shoot, juggling parenthood and a career are both energy draining. Thank god this was my last shoot of the day.

I finished up with my client and let out a loud sigh once she left the studio. I walked back to my desk and sat down, closing my eyes and resting my head on my desk. Maybe I should've worked from home the entire week.

"I feel like I'm losing my mind, my head is pounding." I complained, groaning shortly after.

"Why didn't you just work from home this week?" Matt questioned, placing Carson on his hip.

"Because today and tomorrow I had actual shoots. Ryan was right, maybe this wasn't such a good idea to bring Carson to work." I said, looking at my son.

"Nonsense, I love having Carson around." Matt smiled, tickling Carson. "He's like the little nephew I never had."

"That's sweet. Do you mind if I walked over to the drug store and got some Advil or something? My head just really hurts."

"Go ahead, love."

I grabbed my bag and walked out of the studio, heading down the sidewalk to the local drug store nearby. I walked in through the door and went straight for the pain reliever aisle, contemplating on buying every single bottle. I picked up one of the bottles and went to the cashier, paying for my stuff. I went back outside and started walking back to the studio, taking out the bottle before I walked back in.

"God, they make these caps idiot proof." I grunted, prying the top off. I got two white pills from the bottle and swallowed them down with my bottle of water I had on my desk. "Hopefully this helps my headache."

Carson and I were back home, him being upstairs asleep in his crib while I cleaned up the kitchen after making a late dinner. I put the last two dishes in the dishwasher and sighed, closing the front and headed for the stairs.

I don't know why, but I felt completely off today and I couldn't place my finger on it. My headache was certainly gone and had completely vanished since taking the pain pills. I took out my phone and requested to Facetime with Ryan.

"Hey, sweaty." I chuckled, noticing his face and forehead looked a bit damp.

"I just got done playing a show." He breathed out. "What's going on? Everything at the house okay? The baby okay?"

"Everything's fine, Carson's fine." I reassured him, stepping into the bedroom. "Do you want me to call you back in a minute so you can cool down a little?"

"No, no. How was work today with bringing Carson to the studio?" Ryan smiled, sitting down on a leather sofa.

"He was good, until he got a little fussy, but Matt had him entertained pretty much all day."

"Emilee wasn't at work?"

"She had to travel for today."

"How are you doing?"

"Okay, just really miss you. I had such a bad headache today at work, but it's gone now." I replied, laying back on our bed.

"That's like the second or third this week? You're stressing yourself out too much." Ryan did seem to make a valid point there.

"You're right."

"As always." He smirked.

"Shut up." I laughed.

"Listen, I'm going to take a shower and I'll call you back after, okay?"

"Deal." I smiled at my phone. Ryan and I hung up from each other and I got up from the bed and changed into my sweatpants and loose shirt, crawling underneath the covers. I pressed the home button on my phone and smiled when I saw my background picture of Ryan and Carson.

The two loves of my life.

I placed my phone beside me on the bed and waited for Ryan to call back. As I was waiting for Ryan to call back, my stomach decided to tell me to head down to the kitchen and grab a snack while I was waiting. I'm not going to starve myself, so might as well.

I got out of bed and went downstairs to the kitchen, opening the pantry and looked inside for anything worth snacking on. I found a package of Oreos and opened them up, putting a cookie into my mouth. I took the cookies upstairs with me and sat on the bed, just as Ryan was calling me back.

"Hi." I smiled, chomping down on another cookie.

"What are you eating?"

"Oreos."

"Got a sweet tooth, huh?" Ryan laughed, smiling.

"You know it." I replied back, biting into another cookie.

Ryan sighed and frowned a bit, staring at the screen. "I miss you and Carson, this cruise needs to go faster." He chuckled a little bit.

"Well I told you what'll happen when you get back home." I smirked.

"No, I forgot." Ryan cocked his eyebrow, playing dumb.

"Nice try, but you'll just have to wait until you're back home. We miss you too and I know Carson misses you too, though I know he's little, but he notices his daddy's not home."

"How do you stay calm and sane?"

"I could ask you the same thing."

"Keeping myself busy."

"Same here. I take care of the baby and then I go to work, just like you. Though I don't play guitar and travel the world." I giggled.

"You've been to Australia and Barbados, that counts."

"I guess. Well I'm going to get some sleep, work in the morning and I have to get Carson up too if I'm taking him to work again."

"Okay, so I'll talk to you tomorrow?" Ryan smiled.

"Always."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

We disconnected and I plugged my phone into the charger, setting it on the bedside table. I ate a few more cookies and placed them on the table as well, I'll put them back in the kitchen in the morning. I got under the covers and yawned, setting an alarm and got myself comfortable for some much needed sleep.
