Brianne's POV

The next day I was lounging around the house, Ryan was either between streaming on Twitch or playing around with his guitars. I was sitting on the couch, watching TV when I felt a sharp pain in the side of my stomach.

"Ooh." I put my hand to my stomach and breathed. I felt the same pain again and got up on my feet. "Okay, stay calm."

I went upstairs and started gathering some last minute things, keeping myself as calm as possible. I picked up my phone and called my doctor, telling her I was in labor.

"I-I don't know what's going on, I'm freaking out over here."

"Okay, relax, you're in the early stage of labor. I'll notify the hospital and set up a room for you and I will meet you there. Everything is going to be okay, just stay calm and try to rest for awhile. When your contractions are getting stronger and are closer together, then head over." She said.

"Okay, thank you." I breathed. "Hey, Ryan!" I called.

How stupid of me, he's downstairs in the den, he can't hear me!

I called his phone, of course I got his voicemail. I sighed and carefully walked downstairs, going over to the den's door, opening it.

"There's a person trying to escape my body, ow!" I yelled down the steps.

I heard several things dropping to the floor, no doubt Ryan being one of them. He ran up the steps and ran up to our bedroom, nearly falling down the steps as he came back down.

"Come on." He said, going towards the front door. "Or is this some sort of home birth?"

"Shut up. I called my doctor, she said keep myself calm and rest for a bit. She told me when my contractions get stronger and get closer together then we can go to the hospital."

"Well what do we do until things really start moving?"

I sat on the couch and patted the spot next to me, smiling. "Come sit." Ryan sat beside me, resting into the couch. "In a few hours, we'll be parents."

"That's crazy. I honestly thought we were never going to have a baby, now here we are."

I smiled, rubbing my stomach. "I'm so eager to meet him."

"Me too-oww!" Ryan yelled as I dug my nails into his hand when another contraction hit.

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine, yeah." Ryan reassured, looking at his hand. "Totally worth losing skin over."

I was now at the hospital, hooked up to a fetal monitor and an IV of medicine to take the edge off my contractions.

"Ugh, thank you, thank you." I groaned as Ryan massaged my back. "Ugh, right there." I sighed as he pressed his fingers into a tender spot.

"You're welcome." Ryan chuckled a bit.

"I'm sorry I hurt you back at the house earlier."

"It's fine." He laughed.

There was a knock at the door and I was shocked to see both of my parents walk in. "Hey, my little girl." My dad smiled, kissing my forehead. "How are you holding up?"

"Sore, everything is sore." I said, holding up my hand with the IV.

"Well thank you, we can take it from here." My mom said, looking at Ryan.

"Mom." I sighed.

"Can I talk to you in the hall for a second?" Ryan asked.

"Why?"

I looked at my dad and then over at Ryan. This is not going to be good.

Ryan's POV

Brianne's mom and I stepped out into the hallway. She was not going to come in there and start calling the shots. I'm stunned she even showed up when Brianne said her dad mentioned the whole pregnancy to her mom.

"I'd like to be in there with my wife without you." I said.

"Okay, I understand how you feel, but this isn't up to you." Her mom said, looing at me.

"Look, Elizabeth, you are high off your ass if you think you're coming into that room. If you take one step towards that door I will not hesitate to call security on you, okay? So don't even try to come into that room, that's my room now, that little waiting room with the vending machines that's your area. Stay in your area, stay out of my room. Back. The. Fuck. Off." I told her, going back to Brianne.

Her mom came in, lightly smiling at Brianne and kissed her on top of the head. "You're going to do great. Both of you." She said, looking at me. She tapped Brianne's dad on the arm and they stepped out of the room.

"What the hell did you do out there?" Brianne asked, looking at me once they left.

"Stopped taking your mother's shit."

Brianne's POV

"Oh my god! Ow, holy shit almighty." I breathed, sweat dripping down the side of my face. "I need the epidural, give me it." I cried, looking at Ryan.

My doctor walked in, dressed in gloves and protective scrubs, coming over to me. "Looks like we are well on our way." She said.

"I-I-I want the epidural, give me the epidural."

"Give her the epidural, okay?" Ryan said. My doctor got in front of me, checking things out and looked back up at me.

"Okay, Brianne you've passed the point of an epidural, you're fully dilated now. You have to do this the natural way, okay?"

"No there's still time." I cried.

"Brianne, listen to the doctor." Ryan whispered to me.

"Okay."

"Here comes another contraction, I want you to push." I gripped onto my bed sheets, clenching my eyes shut as I began to push.

"This hurts so bad! I feel everything!" I yelled. "Oh my god!" I continued to yell and curse as I kept pushing, Ryan taking my hand in his.

"Okay, Brianne you're doing so good, one more push. One..two." My doctor instructed. "Come on, another big push, good."

I threw my head back, bearing down when it felt like a weight was lifted off of my pelvic region.

"You did it." My doctor smiled at me.

"Why-why isn't he crying?" I asked, freaking out. "What's going on?"

The doctor handed my son over to the nurses and I watched, trying to figure out what was happening. Come on, Carson.

"Ryan.." He took my hand, squeezing it as we watched the nurses give our son oxygen.

Soon there was some suctioning noise and then the cries of our newborn son filled the room. I broke down crying as I head him wail. Ryan wiped his tears away as he walked over to cut the baby's cord.

Carson was wrapped up tightly and brought over to me and I cried even harder when I looked down at his little wrinkled face.

"I love you, Ryan."

"I love you so much too." He smiled, leaning in to kiss me.

"Congratulations you two." My doctor smiled.

"Thank you." I said, cradling Carson in my arms. "Hi, my little boy." I cried.

"You made it out." Ryan chuckled, kissing the top of his head. "Welcome to the world, little guy."
