A Month Later

I woke up the next morning and walked into the bathroom, getting ready to take a shower. I took off my shorts and panties and let out a frustrated sigh.

Bright red blood was staining the soft material.

I got in the shower, washing the blood off my legs and continued with the rest of my shower. I got out and walked into the bedroom, getting myself dressed. The doorbell rang and I heard Ryan open it, saying hello.

"Brianne, I'm here, I got the test." I heard Emilee tell Ryan. "This one feels lucky."

I walked downstairs, walking past them to go into the kitchen. "I need some coffee."

"No, let's go take the test and you can have your coffee while you wait for the results." Emilee said, following me into the kitchen.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "I don't want any coffee now."

"Ooh mood swings, that's a good sign." Emilee smiled over at Ryan.

"I started."

"What?" Emilee asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"I got my period."

"Damn." Ryan muttered, putting his arm around my shoulder. He pulled me in close and kissed me  on top of the head.

"Yeah, well, you better head over to Rick's so you guys can do more guitar stuff." I said, sitting down at the kitchen table.

Ryan placed a kiss on my lips, squeezing me tightly. "Call me if you need anything."

I nodded my head, sighing as I heard Ryan walk out the front door. Emilee stood in front of the counter with a disappointed look on her face.

"Well at least I can drink." Emilee frowned, whining a bit. "Don't worry, Emilee you still out drink me."

Emilee frowned, pointing towards herself. "I'm pregnant."

"What?"

"I haven't even told Vinny yet."

"Emilee, you're pregnant?" She nodded her head, nearly crying. "Have you thought what you wanna do?"

"Well, I'm gonna keep it, I want to." She sighed. "Just say that you're happy for me even if you don't mean it, but please mean it." She sobbed, hugging me.

"Oh yeah, yeah, I'm happy for you, Emilee, yeah."

She pulled away, wiping her eyes. "I wanted you to be pregnant too, so we could be pregnant together." She said, sitting down. "I don't know if I can do this, Brianne, I'm not the mothering type. I had a doll that wet itself, I thought it was too much trouble, so I stopped giving it water!"

I laughed a little bit at her. "Well you were just a kid then, that doesn't mean you'll be a bad mother. At least you bottle fed it, I had one of those dolls and I used to rip it's head off and fill it under the tap."

"And last night, I had this dream the baby was already born and then I put it down somewhere and I couldn't remember where I put it." Emilee freaked.

I chuckled again, patting her hand. "You just reach into the back of the crib, through the dragon's mouth, you find the gem and blow on it and it turns back into the baby."

"I'm really scared." Emilee sighed.

"Well you don't need to be, Emilee, I'm here for you and me and you can do this together." I smiled, hugging her.

"What if the kid doesn't love me or Vinny? Or we don't love them?"

"That's not going to happen. You've got nothing to worry about, Em." I smiled again.
