One Month Later

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Ryan asked, grabbing his keys.

"I'm fine, Ryan. Emilee's on her way to keep me company. Besides, you haven't been with the guys or even had any band practice since Carson was born. Go, have fun."

"Okay, I love you."

"I love you too." I said as he kissed my lips.

"And Daddy love you too." He said, bending down to kiss Carson's forehead. He said goodbye to me, walking out of the house. About five minutes, Emilee walked into the house.

"Hey, Em." I smiled, standing up.

"Hey, Brianne." She said, hugging me, careful of Carson who was in my arms. "So, you've made it a month into parenthood, how're you doing?"

"I really like it. Cason's slowly starting to sleep through the night better. I smiled, sitting back down, playing with Carson's hands. "I can tell Ryan can't wait until he gets older so he can play with him."

"My sister's husband was like that too. They're fun when they're toddlers." She smiled. "Can I hold him?"

"Of course." I said, handing Carson to Emilee.

"God, he's so cute. He looks so much like Ryan." Emilee said, stroking his cheek.

"I know." I smiled.

"I can't wait to have a baby. I think Vinny and I are okay and past the whole abortion."

"They're fun and cute, but a lot of work." I laughed as Emilee agreed.

"So how is Ryan doing with the whole fatherhood?" She asked, handing Carson back to me.

"He gets a bit doubtful sometimes, but he really is a great father. He's always holding him and gets up a lot during the night when he wakes up crying. I can tell he truly loves Carson. Before he left, he told him that daddy loves him and kissed his forehead."

"Awe." Emilee cooed.

"He's really good with him. I can't wait to see how he is when he gets to be like two or three."

"Or a teenager." Emilee laughed.

"Oh god, he'll be gone." I laughed. "They'll both be driving me crazy, I can already see it." We talked for a bit longer until Ryan came back home, walking through the door.

"I'm home!" He called, dropping his keys on the table.

"In here!" I called, putting the bottle down as I finished feeding Carson.

"Hey, Emilee." Ryan said before bending down so he was face to face with me. "Hello, Mrs." He said, kissing my lips.

"Hey, how did practice go?"

"Great, it felt nice to be with the guys again."

"Told you." I smiled and he nodded. Ryan took Carson from my arms and hugged him tight, kissing his forehead.

"Hey, Carson, Daddy missed you." Ryan said, smiling before handing him back to me. "I'm gonna go upstairs and change." He said, going up the steps.

"Okay."

"I should probably get back home. Vinny's probably home by now." Emilee said, standing up. "It was good seeing you, Brianne..and you too." She smiled at Carson.

"Same here."

"Bye, Ryan!" She called, grabbing her keys.

"Bye!" Ryan yelled from upstairs. I closed the door behind Emilee as she walked out. I went upstairs to the nursery and sat in the rocking chair, trying to get Carson to sleep.

"Brianne?" Ryan called.

"In here." He came walking in wearing loose shorts and a shirt. "I'm trying to get him to sleep, I just fed him." I said, Ryan nodding. "Would you clean out the bottle next to the kitchen sink, please?"

"Not a problem." Ryan smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too." I said as Ryan left the room. Carson soon fell asleep and I placed him in his bassinet.

I climbed into the bed and decided to take a well needed nap. I was nearly asleep when I felt Ryan's side of the bed sink and felt his arms wrap around my waist. I smiled and giggled as he buried his face into the crook of my neck.

"I love you, Mrs. Sitkowski."

"I love you too, Mr. Sitkowski."
