"Brianne, these shots are stupendous. They're really good." Emilee complimented my work I did with Jeremy.

"Thanks." I replied, looking up from my laptop.

It had been at least two weeks since I flew out to LA to work with Jeremy. Today we had both publicly posted our we work we did with each other.

"That one guy is coming to pick his prints up." Emilee said.

"I'll grab them for you, I gotta get a different lens from the back." I stood up and walked into the back.

"Thanks."

I was grabbing the envelope of prints when a sudden wave of nausea washed over me, my breakfast threatening to come out. I put my hand over my mouth and thankfully there was a nearby back exit. I opened the door, bending over and puked all over the ground, groaning afterwards.

I wiped my mouth and walked back to the front, Emilee staring at me. "You okay?"

I just shrugged my shoulders and sat down at my desk. "Crap! I forgot our stuff."

"Rest, I'll get it." Emilee got up from her desk and headed towards the back. She came back, handing me the lens I needed and gently rubbed my back. "Should I take you to the drug store?"

"No, I have a box of tests at home." I said. "Ryan's not even home from LA yet." I sighed.

"Think of it as giving him a wonderful homecoming gift." She smiled.

I just have a feeling a baby is going to make both Ryan and myself anxious as hell.

***************

During lunch, I requested to Facetime with Ryan. He accepted the call, seeing the guys in the background.

"Hey." Ryan smiled at me.

"Is there anywhere to go so we can talk in private?"

"Yeah, I can step outside."

I waited as I heard and saw Ryan step out of the studio. He sat down on a set of steps, smiling back at his phone screen. "So what's up?"

"I think I'm pregnant."

"Really?" Ryan smiled, showing all his teeth. "You should've taken a test, then called me. What's got you on high alert?"

"I got sick at work this morning and I just feel lousy." I frowned.

"Try taking it easy at work, keep me updated throughout the day and then call me when you get home."

I nodded my head, smiling a bit. "Fingers crossed."

"Fingers crossed."

"How's it going out there? I really miss you."

"I miss you too, I'll be home in two days to record some things on my end at home."

"Thanks for telling me, dork."

Ryan smiled, shaking his head. "I love you, you know that?"

"I most certainly do. Look, say hi to the guys for me and I'll talk to you when I get home."

"Will do."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

We hung up from each other and I went back to work. The thought of a possible pregnancy lingering in my mind was really starting to distract me from my work. I really hope this test comes out positive.

Ryan's POV

I pumped my fist a bit, walking back into the studio with the biggest smile on my face. I picked up my guitar and tried to concentrate on my music.

"Have a little one on one out there?" Vinny teased, smirking.

"Outside? Gross, dude." I said.

"Anything wrong?" Ricky asked.

"Brianne and I might be having a baby." I smiled. "Oh she also said hi."

"Hello." They all said in unison.

"Congratulations." Ricky smiled.

"Well Brianne hasn't taken a test yet, so, but thank you." I smiled ear to ear.

"I'm happy for you, man." Chris smiled over at me. I nodded my head and went back to playing the strings on my guitar.

Yeah, you could say things are still awkward between Chris and I. I have a feeling it's going to stay like that for a long time.

Brianne's POV

I got home from work and went upstairs bathroom, grabbing the box of tests. I did what was needed to be done, washed my hands and texted Ryan.

Brianne: Just took the test

Ryan: And?

Brianne: I have to wait

Ryan: Fingers crossed

I changed out of my work clothes and slipped on a pair of grey sweatpants and white shirt. I walked into the bathroom and sat on the edge of the tub, staring at the test. My knee started bouncing as I got more anxious.

I stood up and picked up the test, closing my eyes and let out a deep breath. This will either disappoint me or bring me joy. I opened up my eyes and looked down, seeing one line on the stick.

"I'll give it another minute." I said, setting it back on the counter.

Well a minute had passed and that single line was sticking out like a sore thumb. I picked it up and threw it across the bathroom out of frustration. Ryan started ringing my phone, he's probably wondering what's taking so long.

"Hello?" I answered.

"What did the test say?"

I sighed, sitting on the edge of the tub again. "It was negative."

"Oh no." Ryan sighed. "Well I'll be home in two days, just keep trying."

"Ryan, I don't want to try anymore! Let's face it, we're never going to be parents."

"So you're just giving up?"

"We could screw non stop and I still wouldn't get pregnant."

"Hey, that's a challenge I'm up for, no complaints from me." Ryan laughed a little bit, trying to lighten up the mood.

"Ryan." I sighed.

"I'm serious, Brianne. We'll do whatever to start this family of ours."

"But I was sick this morning? I don't understand."

"Maybe you just had a stomach bug? Regardless, be prepared when I get home in two days."

"See you in two days then." I smiled to myself.
