part two to "i know you"

(y/n) was beyond hurt.

she was beyond broken.

she was completely ruined. of course, she had been rejected multiple times before. but never had she ever loved somone the way she loved jack. she truly believed that he would like her back. she had hopes and dreams that thought were going to come true.

now that she saw how it all turned out, she realized she was completely dumb to think that. of course he wouldn't like her. she wasn't anything special. she was just...her. she wasn't an extremely gorgeous or insanely smart girl. she was mainly just like everybody else in her eyes.

that night, the night she left, daniel couldn't stop screaming at jack. the curly-haired boy had, at first, saw nothing wrong with what he had done. it was his way of dealing with emotions, and it was after an hour of (y/n) being gone did he realize that he had done something terribly awful to someone he considered one of his closest friends.

daniel tried to get (y/n) back home to them. multiple voicemails and messages were left for her. when she wouldn't answer with her number, he emailed her. when she wouldn't email, he messaged her instagram. but she refused. she refused to let herself back into that group of people again. she had been at daniel, he was the one who said telling jack would be best, but after time, she realized it wasn't his fault at all.

that's what (y/n) and jack had both gone through during that time.

realization.

so many things would hit them at random times. they would just realize certain things. and jack realized one of the biggest things in his life.

it had been almost half a year. almost six months. almost six month since jack had blocked (y/n) after she admitted her feelings to him. almost 3 months since (y/n) had learned that even though she still loved jack, she would have to move on. and almost two weeks since jack had first tried talking to her again.

(y/n) had stuck with her mind. she would no longer let her heart control her. she had her thoughts in order this time. she wouldn't let herself slip again.

so when she saw jack next to her apartment door in the hallway for the third time in two weeks, she had gotten very annoyed.

"jack," she said without any expression in her voice. "what are you doing here?"

"(y/n)," he said. he stood up quickly, looking at her with eyes of wonder. she's more beautiful then ever. "i just wanted to talk."

"no, jack." (y/n) replied, shaking her head. she pulled her keys out of her bag and went to unlock her door. jack blocked her and looked at her hopelessly.

"please, (y/n)," he begged. "please. i just want to talk. that's it. nothing else is gonna happen, just a conversation."

"about what, jack?" she said. "what you did six fucking months ago? huh? six months! you pushed me out just like that, and for six months, i had to be alone! and now, now you want to talk? what makes this second, this day, the perfect time? i've told you so many times already, jack, the answer is no!" she yelled. she unlocked her door and stepped inside her apartment. (y/n) pushed the door closed only have it opened by jack.

"please," he begged again. "you're right. you are absolutely right. i was wrong. i was so wrong to do what i did six months ago. i was wrong to push you away. i had no place to do that, i don't even know why i did. i freaked out. and six months is a long time to leave someone alone. i left you alone because  was scared and i know now that was wrong in every way possible. but i'm sorry. i'm so sorry. i know you. i know you better than anybody else. and i know that you want to talk about things like this, you always have. so, please, (y/n), please talk about this with me."
