some weird and fucked up shit happening here, just to warn you.
a lot of bloody and disgusting shit as well, so if you're squeamish, don't read.
(y/n) and daniel had gotten caught up in weird shit that summer. and it wasn't "gravity falls adventure" type of weird shit. it was the "stranger things" type of weird shit where if they didn't keep there mouths closed, they would surely be punished, and they would be punished severely.
it all started when (y/n) found michael genson standing in the alleyway of the school between the gym and the art room. "what the fuck?" she whispered to herself. he leaned against the wall. he didn't look up at her until he heard (y/n)'s voice echo through the alleyway. his eyes weren't that unique green anymore. they were a disgusting shade of brown and grey and blue. his teeth weren't pearly white and his smile wasn't his school-famous grin. it was a deadly smirk that sent chills up (y/n)'s spine.
she told daniel later that day what she had saw. daniel had been the girl's best friend since first grade, so he tried his very best to believe her.
"but michael genson died three months ago," daniel said. "there's no possible way that was him."
"oh no, it was him," (y/n) argued. she sounded frightened yet brave at the same time. "his eyes weren't the same color and his teeth were almost rotten and falling out, but his hair and skin were still the same. he looked fresh out of a shower, it was weird."
"(y/n), think about this," daniel said. (y/n) rolled her eyes as her friend continued to be stubborn about the situation. "even if it was him, even if it was michael, then how in the world would he still be alive. you remember when they found his body."
(y/n) calmly breathed out as she did remember when they found his body. it was all over the news, social media, the newspapers. it was everywhere you looked. they had dragged him out of a river, his throat slashed, his pretty green eyes rolled up to the back of his head. there were already maggots eating his skin. he was no longer than pretty boy that (y/n) had slightly crushed on for three years.
"daniel, please, you have to believe me," she said hopelessly. daniel sighed. "you're the only one who would be willing to."
a day after that, elizabeth warren was found dead in the cemetry. her body was impaled by the stake of the fence that surrounded the perimeter.
(i hate myself for doing this. you can hate me too, i deserve it)
a week and half after that, daniel's former friend, kyle, found anna choked to death in his back yard. when keri had gotten the phone call from kyle, she couldn't understand half the words he was saying.
until when she finally did, she couldn't help but break down.
daniel stayed at home with tyler as his parents rushed to kyle's house to find their beloved daughter without a beating heart. when daniel saw the body, he didn't even cry. he denied it. he denied that she was dead. he refused to believe that thought. he just stared at his sister, the sister he loved so much. the sister that he would make forts with and would help her with homework and would go playing tag in the front yard with.

anna's photo was in the one newspaper that daniel's father had read one morning. he left it on the table before even reading anna's part, leaving to go fix something upstairs. daniel had come downstairs to find the newspaper. he weirdly read it, but paused as he saw the picture of his sister. he slammed the newspaper on the table and left for school.
