Even If It Kills Me (One Direction and The Vamps Fan Fiction)

Chapter 5

Cat's POV

At about 2 in the afternoon when we hear that One Direction has arrived at the hotel. We all head to their room. I can't wait to see how excited Emma is! While Katie, Brad, James, Connor, and I walked through the hallway, Emma and Tristan fell behind.

We got to the door to One Direction's room and waited for the two to catch up. Tristan runs up and tells us Emma left her phone behind and will come here soon.

Brad knocks on the door and Liam opens it, inviting us all in.

All the members are in there hanging out and looking hot. I am in love with One Direction, but I don't make it very obvious like Katie and Emma. I know all the words to all their songs and it's been my dream to meet them for a few years now.

I look around, overwhelmed. Which do I talk to first? Katie, James, and Connor are all talking to Niall, Liam and Tristan are chatting, and Harry is off to the side, leaning on the wall. I decide not to bother Harry and go talk to Brad, Louis, and Zayn. I stand next to Brad.

"Hey" I say. "I'm Catherine" I reach out my hand to shake Louis' first.

"Hello Catherine, I'm Louis" Louis shakes my hand and I shake Zayn's hand next. "I'm Zayn Malik" Zayn says.

"I know!" I reply excitedly to both of them. "I'm a big fan! I love your music!" I say.

"Oh really? You have a favorite song?" Zayn asks.

"Do I have to choose just one?!" I ask with a huge smile.

Zayn and Louis both laugh and Brad looks a little disappointed.

"What's your favorite song by The Vamps?" Brad asks.

"Do you have to make everything about you, Brad?" I tease him, pretending to be mad. He doesn't say anything. "Well, to be completely honest, I didn't know you, Connor, or James even existed until yesterday. I never really listened to your band. Sorry." I apologized to Brad.

"That's ok actually, I'm glad you didn't know who I was until yesterday, because if you were a fan our first meeting yesterday wouldn't have been so perfect." Brad smiled.

"Oh yeah! Yesterday was perfect! As I made animal sounds at you!" I said sarcastically, referencing the meow situation. Brad shrugged.

"Animal sounds?" Louis asks with confusion.

"Don't ask." I reply. "I'm gonna go see how Katie is doing. It was really nice to meet you!" I say to Zayn and Louis.

"Nice to meet you, too" Zayn says.

As I was walking over to Katie, I saw the door open and Emma peek in the room. She was wide-eyed and I knew it was because she was surprised to see One Direction. I thought she would be happy to meet them, but she closed the door. I was about to go tell Katie to come help me find her, but then Harry ran past me.

"I'm going to go see if she's okay!" Harry said as he sped past.

I stayed in the room, hung out, and talked to everyone for about five minutes, then Emma and Harry came back.

I run to Emma from the other side of the room and Harry walks over to talk to some of the boys.

"Are you okay?" I ask worriedly.

"Yeah" Emma says.

I notice her tear stained face "Were you crying?" I pout at her and give her a hug.

"Yeah, but I'm fine now!" she says blushing.

"What did I miss?" I ask, knowing there was something else more going on I didn't know.
