Harry's POV

"So," I say to Emma sitting next to me on the couch. "Who's bus you going on for heading to North Carolina?"

She shrugs her shoulder. She then takes my banana (that I finally got back) and takes a bite out of it, and hands it back to me.

"Wow. Thanks," I say sarcastically.

"No problem," she says with an innocent smile. Ugh I just want to kiss her right now. But I can't. We're best friends and all, but I just want to be so much more. She obviously at least likes Tristan a little, or maybe a lot, but I know she doesn't like me. Nothing hurts more then having the person you like, like someone else.

But she deserves Tristan, and Tristan deserves her. I might be the only thing standing in between Emma and a perfect relationship with her dream guy, which in case you didn't notice, isn't me.

"You run really fast, too," I comment as I take a bite of my banana.

She shrugs her shoulders again. "I ran track for most of high school. Might've gotten first for the 4x200 meter relay..."

"Are you serious?" I say, not beliving her.

"I don't know, ask Katie," she suggests.

"What do you mean 'you don't know'?" I ask her.

She shrugs again.

"Well anyway," I tell her. "You're welcome to hang out with One Direction on the way there. I know that Katie will be there."

"Ya sure," she agrees. "Why not."

"We should get going, don't want to be late," I tell her. She nods her head and picks up her suitcase to head out to the bus.

"Nope," I say once we reach the hallway. I take her suitcase from her hands so that she has nothing to carry.

"Harry!" she complains. "I can carry it myself!"

"You know that you still don't look fully healed, so I prefer not to have you collapse under the weight of this thing or something," I tell her. She lets out a sigh and finally gives up.

Her bruises have healed mainly, but every once in awhile I'll see a flash of pain cross her face when she moves from her injuries. She looks better for sure, but you can still tell she's been beat up.

"Wait," she says once we are in the elevator. "Will there be fans from like here to the bus?"

"Probably."

"I'm guessing me looking like this isn't exactly a good thing for your fans to see," she says gesturing to her beat up body. She only has a tank top and shorts on so you can see most of her injuries.

I quickly open up my bag and pull out my Jack Wills hoodie. I toss it to Emma and she slips it over her body. It's pretty big on her, but it covers enough.

"Thanks," she says as she plays with the sleeves since they cover her arms. I can't help but smile at the sight of her, practically swimming in my hoodie, but looking as beautiful as ever. I just wish one day I could hold her and call her mine...

We step out of the elevator and head through the doors to get to the bus. The security helps us get past the screaming fans, but Emma is still obviously a little scared, especially since some of them are yelling directly at her. I hand the suitcases to the nearest security guard, who goes to place them on the bus. With my now free hands, I block Emma from the fans and hold her hand. She hides her face into my shoulder, and we quickily get to the bus.

She's still a little freaked out from all the people that were yelling her name, so I get her on the bus quickly and shut the door behind me. I look up to see all the boys except Niall sitting in the main room, all on their phones.
