Katie's POV
Emma and Cat are nowhere to be found in the hotel, so I decide to text them.
Hey guys, where are you?
Emma doesn't reply, but Cat does.
With Brad...u ok?
I smile that I know she's okay.
Yeah I'm fine. See you later!
I stare at my phone, reading the text Emma sent me a few minutes after Cat and I texted.
Don't worry about me.
She's obviously not fine, but she obviously doesn't want to talk about it, also.
I decide to not reply, unsure of what to say.

Tristan and Emma DATING!?!?!?!
I turn the news off immediately, calling Emma. She doesn't answer, which doesn't surprise me.
As soon as I hang up the phone, a knock comes upon my door.
I open it, and find Niall. I collapse into his arms which are waiting for me. The hug was tight, but not too tight.
"I'm sure they aren't dating," Niall finally says. I nod and hope it's true what Niall said, that they aren't dating.
~
An hour later, Cat and Emma still aren't back. Knocking erupts on my door again, and I think it's Niall again. I open the door to a smiling James. In a blue polo shirt, I have to say that he looks quite handsome. His hair is neat, for like the first time, and he's wearing khaki pants.
"Hi," I say.
"Hey... I have a question." James says.
"What's up?"
"Would you like to go out for dinner tonight?" I smile.
"Yes, James. I'd love that."
"Cool... I'll be here at 7 for you."
"Sounds good."
"Okay... see you then."
"Yep. Bye."
"Bye."
~
It was seven o'clock, and James should be here any second. Cat got me dressed up in a white floral tanktop, black ruffled skirt, topped with curls, necklaces, and earrings. I had to admit, I looked stunning. Apparently Emma thought so too, she walked into the room as soon as I placed my earring in my right ear, finishing the outfit.
"Katie...you look absolutley alluring!" She exclaims. I smile, and laugh a little.
"Thanks, Emma. I'm going on a date with James!" She mumbles something under her breath. I can't make out every word, but I hear the words Tristan, news, and dating. She still must be upset.
"It's all right, Emma. I know you aren't dating-"
"Don't even start, Katie!" She booms. I look at Cat, who just frowns.
"You have no idea what I've been through! I was just playing my guitar, until Tristan came-"
"ENOUGH!" Cat yells.
Cat was always a peacemaker and stopped fights before they got too far. Emma looks at me, and I look at her. In seconds, she comes running and hugging me.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," she's crying now. Tears fly down her cheeks, and she keeps saying how sorry she is.
"You're fine, Emma. Friends have their fights, but in the end, they're just closer, aren't they?" I say.
She looks up from my shoulder which she's been crying on, and nods. She backs away, and stops crying. She starts singing a song I wrote when we were thirteen.
So give me a shoulder to cry on for the night.
You know I've been having a bad day.
I come running,
Running, into your arms.
And when the night ends,
Give me a shoulder to cry on.
She smiles, and I run to give her a hug. I haven't sung that song in years, and hearing Emma sing it so beautifully melted my heart. But what melted my heart more, was her singing in front of people, even if it was just Cat and I.
"You remember that song?" I ask.
"Yeah. We made a lot of songs together," Emma reminds me.
"When we get back home, I'll look for my song book." I say. Emma smiles, and then somebody knocks on our door.
"I'll get it. Katie, fix your hair a little, and your makeup," Cat says. I quickly run to the bathroom with Emma, who helps me with my hair as I re-apply makeup.
"It's James!" Cat calls. Emma looks at me with her green eyes and smiles. "You look beautiful, Katie. I'm so lucky to have you as a friend." I laugh. "Thanks, Emma. I'm lucky to have you as a friend too." As I head out of the bathroom, I see James's jaw drop.
"You look beautiful!" He gasps.
James looked handsome too, I had to admit. With his hair nicely pulled back, in a black shirt and nice blue jeans, he looked like he was ready for a casual day. For me, however, he looked amazing.
"You look good too," I tell him.
"Well, I'll see you all later," he tells Cat and Emma. I laugh and say the same thing back to them. James then leads me to a taxi, which takes about fifteen minutes before getting to a restaurant. It's a nice Italian place, much more fancy than what both of us were expecting I think.
"Welcome! A seat for two?" A worker there asked us.
"Yes please," I reply before James could.
"Right this way." He leads us outside, to a table in a gazebo. We sat down to order. We decided to split a large cheese pizza.
We talk for awhile, until our pizza came. We are and of course talked more until I decided it was time to leave. James put up a fight, argueing that it was only 10:30, but I wanted to get back to the hotel. We argued for a little bit, but in the end we headed back to the hotel.
When I get back to our room, Cat and Emma are watching Pitch Perfect.
"Hey Katie, how'd it go?" Emma asks.
I look at her and frown. "I don't know, ok I guess, " I reply to her.
Since there are two beds, and three of us, Emma and I share a bed. I snuggle up next to Emma, trying to forget about the date I just went on with James.
