Chapter 51

Emma's POV

I can't do this anymore.

I don't care if they have forgotten my name. I need to hear their voices or something from them, but of course without them knowing it.

I curl up on my new bed with a cup of tea and a Nutella Waffle Sandwich. I pull out my laptop and make a new Twitter account that I will probably never use again.

I go to Zayn's page first because he is probably the person who will least likely make me burst out into hysteric tears.

Or at least I thought.

His profile shows up and I click on it. Seeing his profile picture of him feels like a stab in the heart since I can no longer see his face everyday.

The last thing he posted was a link to watch some clips from the concert last night in England, so I decide to watch it.

The first couple clips are different pieces from The Vamps playing, but the last one is the worst.

"This last one is called Another World," Brad announces and the crowd goes wild since everyone loves this one, including me.

But something's wrong.

I know Brad fairly well, and he seems uncomfortable which is extremely unusual since I swear that boy was made to be on stage. He seems nervous too, but they play it anyway.

Right before he sings, Brad gives a nervous look to Connor that most people wouldn't notice, but I do. Connor nods his head, encouraging Brad to sing so he does. But why would Brad be scared to sing it?

I listened to the words that Brad sings, and I start to have suspicions of why.

People like to talk,

But I can't understand a word,

They threw us to the wolves,

But I can't say I'm stronger now,

My back's against the wall,

I'm drifting door to door,

No I can't rest.

We just lay awake,

But tell me now is that just one big,

Stupid mistake.

Cause I can't get you off my mind,

I'm drifting day to day,

I just lay awake,

Brad closes his eyes as he sings and you can tell the lyrics are getting to him. I can just imagine that all he can think of is Cat right now, but my question is why is he sad about Cat? What's happened?

No I can't sleep.

I close my eyes,

And you are here,

With me tonight.

Brad opens his eyes and they're shiny and glazed as they water a bit.

In another world,

Oh I know, I know, I know that,

You would be my girl

And nothing would tear us apart.

Brad'a voice cracks at that last line and he backs away from the mic, putting his head down and shaking his head as if to say 'I can't do it, I'm done.' A drop of water lands on the keyboard and I realize I'm crying. What's happened to Brad and Cat?
