Katie's POV

I stared at Cat's car as Cat's mum drove them home. I realize now that I'm the last girl standing, which makes me wonder if that's good or not. A wave of confusion floods through me, but Harry and Louis distracted me.

"Aw, look Lou, Katie gave up chasing us with shirts!" Harry laughs, which makes Louis laugh along. I gave them a death stare while Joe informs us that it's time to go to yet another hotel.

As we approach the bus, James runs up and hugs me. I feel embarrassed especially since no one knows what's happening between us. Niall knows something's wrong, though. He pulls me away and asks me.

"What's happening?" He asks. I look back at James, who is looking at me. I turn back to Niall.

"Look, Niall-" I was thankfully interrupted by Liam.

"Katie, I think we should host a party tonight. To welcome you to The Vamps and One Direction UK tour!"

Everyone's looking at me, waiting for my reply.

I smile and nod.

"That would be lovely, Liam." I say.

"Woo-hoo!" Harry exclaims.

Even though Emma is gone and now is Cat won't be joining us, I think that this tour is going to be fun. Just wish I knew where Emma was and if Cat will ever come back to us...

***

When we arrive at the hotel, I get my room key and spare key from the lady at the front desk. I thank her and turn to see Niall smiling at me. I try to smile back at him, but it doesn't come. The sides of my lips just can't seem to move upward.

I sigh and walk up the stairs to the door that reads: Floor 4, I stare at it. This is the floor that we are all staying at. Instead of walking toward the door and into the hallway where the boys are, I continue walking up the stairs until I see the words Rooftop.

As I open the door to the rooftop, a cold breeze catches my attention. I'm thrown back just a little bit, but then walk through the strong winds. Luckily there was a railing (I'm not quite sure why there wouldn't be) and I walk to it and lean my head over the top. There were nine floors in this hotel, and the view is just amazing. It's about six, and the sky is a beautiful pinkish-purple. I hear the door open and try to resist the urge to run up to him and hug him.

"What are you doing up here?" He asks me, and I shrug as he throws his right arm over my shoulders and pulls me close to him.

"I needed some air," I say and he nods.

"I totally understand. Brilliant view, is it not?" I nod as James kisses the top of my forehead. Suddenly all the memories that had happened earlier in the tour seemed like a blur and that it never had actually happened.

"I'm sorry for everything..." he says, as if reading my mind. I turn my glance from the sky to his beautiful face.

"Let's just pretend that never happened. Sound good?" I say and he smiles.

"Does that mean we can start from the beginning?"

"How about we start from yesterday when I agreed to be your girlfriend?" I suggest.

"I want to start from a little before that actually." Jane says.

"Okay?" I say, and he smiles.

He gets down on one knee and brings out a tiny black box and opens the lid. Inside is a beautiful silver necklace with two hearts entwined with each other (see attachment photo).

"Katrina, it would be my honor to ask you a question that I've been wanting to ask for a long time." I smile and nod at him as if to say 'go on.'

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks and I grin.

"Yes." I say, just like I'd do yesterday after he showed me the dancing video.

James picks me up and spins me around, pressing his lips against mine. Then the world was gone. The boys. Cat. Emma. Gone. Except for James, the sunset, me, and the kiss that felt like it went on for a lifetime.

And I knew. I was 100% sure.

I was in love with James Daniel McVey.
