"Can you sayyyyy... HELLO?" Freddie asked his daughter eagerly. She was so small seating on his chest, she weighed like a feather to him.
"Yello..." Elle cried back. Alice leaned to the side of the door, a grin formed on her face. Freddie could comm...

"She's in there," Emma pointed to a door at the corner of the loft. Brian nodded to her as he and Freddie entered cautiously into the house. It was Phoebe who planned the meet-up, when Freddie was away in the studio, Phoebe would call Emma secretly and they would feed each other information of how the couple were coping. They figured the best way to solve this was to drive Freddie down to Brighton and for them to talk to each other.
Freddie braved himself and began to approach the door, walking easily, but suddenly he stopped cold as he heard her voice. Her sweet voice singing accompanied with the strumming of ukulele:

Midway through the song Freddie opened the door carefully as to not interrupt her, and there she was seated on one side of the bed, overlooking the sunset strumming her ukulele. A breeze past him; and Alice felt a tinge of cold running through her feet and she glanced to the door. Neither of them moved as they faced each other.
Freddie stayed silent, his muscles seemed frozen, and for a second he thought Alice did not recognize him. Suddenly he felt bad for showing up like that, not telling her in advance and surprising her. Everything that past by his head seemed unfitting, he was tongue-tied. Looking at Freddie she noticed how he'd changed since she last saw him. He looked different, she thought. With his shirt tucked loosely into a pair of old fitted jeans, she could see his hair was unkempt and messy with a stubble growing. Alice took a deep breath and put down her ukulele to the side of the bed.
"Heyya..." her soft voice startled him. Freddie looked back at her with amazement in his eyes. That voice, her voice, was what he needed to do what he did next. It all came together, being there with her. He felt something twitch inside, something deep that made him dizzy for a second.
Without another word exchanged, Freddie pushed the door behind him closed and walked up to Alice. She naturally got up from the bed as he approached her taking off his bomber jacket dropping it to the floor. Instinctively through months of knowing each other he placed his arms around her waist drawing her close, their face inches from each other, but then he stopped. He stopped so their eyes would meet, it was him making sure this is what she wanted as much as he did. Alice nudged her nose to his, teasing him almost and in a heartbeat he pushed her lips open with his tongue and ravaged her with a deep kiss. A kiss where they let the one whole week of separation dissolved.
Freddie lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist. She then pulled back to look at him, her face bright red. Up close, she could see the changes she hadn't noticed before. The faint lines around his eyes had deepened, his cheekbones more prominent. He was different and yet the way he was holding her in his arms made her realize how much she'd missed his embrace, his body heat. He took her to the bed as her eyes brimmed with tears. She rested her thighs on his, her legs relaxed around his waist. She looked down and wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes.
