Freddie was sprawling by the couch in the living room with a pen and and a notebook on each hand. He was scribbling on a new page, writing lyrics that came to his mind. He had woken up earlier than both Alice and Elle, both were still snuggling together on the bed.
Abruptly, the silence he craved was broken with the sweetest calling... "DADA!"
Freddie lifted his head up, looking through the hallway to see if Elle would appear. "DADAAAA!!!" the voice cried louder.
"Here Elle, I'm here!" Freddie answered back, shutting his notepad and placing it on the tabletop nearby. He sat on the couch, slouching while waiting for his princess, his sunshine to find him.
Elle ran past the hallway frantically looking for her dad, not noticing his dad was at the living room she just passed. Freddie snickered at how she almost missed him, but then slowly her small figure in her pink onesie walked backwards to the doorway cautiously, noticing her father by the couch. "Dadaaaa...!" Elle yelled happily, her face broke into a huge smile.
"Come here baby!" Freddie announced, spreading his arms wide open. Elle quickly ran to her dad, her giggles echoed through the living room, he caught Elle and lifted her up. How Freddie adored her daughter, Hazel Elle Mercury.
Freddie never thought of settling down and having kids, neither did Alice. And yet even with Alice taking her contraceptive pills without missing a day, they somehow still conceived Elle. They called her the miracle baby, though Freddie wanted to take credit because he was convinced it was the night in Montreal where they conceived baby Elle. He remembered the night, the morning, the afternoon, and the evening very well. LDR sex was his favorite, he called it The Mercury Sperm effect, much to the despise of Alice.
"Elle don't run around please, you could fall love." Alice's voice was heard through the hallway. When Alice stopped by the living room, Elle's small 2-year old figure was seated on Freddie's chest, her small tiny toes brushing his chin.
"Can you sayyyyy... HELLO?" Freddie asked his daughter eagerly. She was so small seating on his chest, she weighed like a feather to him.
"Yello..." Elle cried back. Alice leaned to the side of the door, a grin formed on her face. Freddie could command a stadium of 70,000 people but trying to get the attention of his daughter meant more to him.
"Can you sayyyy... Elle Mercury!" Freddie said, his voice went high pitch.
"Yelle Curry!" she cried back, repeating her father. Freddie broke into laughter, her cuteness was too much for him to handle.
"Good morning you two," Alice approached both of them by the couch. Freddie looked to Alice, in her silk white pajamas. He lifted his legs so Alice would seat on the opposite side of the couch, and then rested it back to her thighs.
"Morning mama, sayyy... Good morning mama..." Freddie urged on his daughter.
"No!" she cried back. Alice pouted at Elle to show her jealousy, then she stroked Elle's back asking for her attention. Indeed, she had to admit, father and daughter had a different connection. When its fun time it would be Freddie but when its restless, hungry, sleepy time it would be her who Elle would turn to. Freddie lifted Elle up so she would stand on his thigh, then lifted her higher to blow on her stomach making farting noises. Elle burst into laughter, her hand rested on Freddie's hair, pulling it telling him to stop.
