Encouraged by Roger's advice, Freddie decided after the episode of Coronation Street ended that he would go find Alice and talked to her. "Alice! Darling!" Freddie sang her name. Instinctively he went into their bedroom first, it was empty. He then moved to check on the bathroom and it was empty as well. He peered to the bathroom window to see if she was outside by the peonies bush and again, it was empty. His instinct felt funny, he was restless.

Freddie walked back downstairs, "Alice, darling where are youuu?" He bumped into a concerned Roger, popcorn in his arm leaning by the doorway. He swerved opening the door to the Japanese room; which was unlikely considering she had a sudden hatred of the room saying the Hattori Hanzo samurai swords were accidents waiting to happen. No Alice.

"Fuck's sake Alice just answer me!" Freddie yelled now annoyed. He began to walk faster, bellowing her name. He went through every room in the house. Through the kitchen, where Phoebe was preparing his tea, he looked back to Freddie his eyes round, concerned. Freddie proceed to the basement, into the guest rooms and finally out the garden. He peeked over the side to see if she was near the koi pond, where he had saw her one time, seating near the pond with her eyes closed, humming a lullaby while caressing her tummy, she'd suddenly open her big brown eyes and locked it with his, but she said nothing back, ignored him, and went back to the house alone.

"Freddie!" a voice called from inside the house. He quickly walked in hurriedly to find Phoebe and Roger in the kitchen. Phoebe passed a note to Freddie with trembled hands, his face pale.

"I found this on the piano," Freddie grabbed it hastily, his stomach clenched as he read the words on the note.

Freddie,

I am sorry love. I know we have been bickering over the stupidest things, and I apologize. I assure you, it's not you, it's the pregnancy. I just need some time away, I'll be back, soon. I promise. Don't worry about me I'll be fine.

I love you,

Alice

Freddie glanced back up to Roger and Phoebe, he was unsure of what his reaction was suppose to be: shocked, panic? He stepped backwards slowly, an involuntary swallow went down his throat. He wet his lips with many questions running through his mind, what had happened? Why were there no signs? Why did she leave, just like that? Where could she be? Where is she staying? How long will she be away?

"Listen Freddie, I'll go out and ask if anyone saw her leaving okay?" Phoebe finally said something, his palm steadying Freddie by the shoulder.

"Okay," Freddie murmured, his eyes glossy. Speedily Phoebe went out the entrance of Garden Lodge.

"Do you know where she could be? Her old house at Tower Bridge perhaps? Her mother's house?" Roger held Freddie by the neck.

"Why did she left Roger?" Freddie's voice croaked. In that one second his whole world had crumbled, the fact of not knowing where she is, was making him fall apart. All he wanted was to know she was safe, somewhere, even if its away from him.

"Listen we're gonna find her, she probably just left, she could still be in London." Roger brought in their foreheads to touch, assuring his brother. "Calm down okay Freddie, we'll find her."

Freddie locked eyes with Roger, his face red, eyes watery and his jaw tightened in distress. He was overwhelmed with emotions, but decided to stay calm. He wet his lips and replied calmly, "Okay."
