When Alice woke, Freddie was gone, the other side of the bed was empty. The guest bedroom door was slightly open and she heard chattering from the other side. For a second she wondered if what happened last night was just a dream, she lifted herself up, and her body reminded the opposite. Alice looked forlornly to the state of the bedsheets, it was stains galore. She bit her lip, last night definitely happened.
Alice leapt from the bed and slipped on her undies and into an over-sized pajamas top. As she walked to the door, Alice noticed she was struggling to even stand. Clutching a nearby chair, she stumbled reaching for the doorknob. Her legs shook a little, still recovering from the spasm of pleasure she experienced the night before. As she cracked the door opened, she saw Emma at the kitchen with her apron on, her arms flailing everywhere talking excitedly to both Freddie and Brian. She could hear noises from the kitchen, a spatula crashing into the sink crashing loudly.
Alice knew something impressive was being created, probably Emma's renowned pancakes, because pancakes are for special guests. Opposite of Emma were the boys seated on the high chairs by the kitchen island. The savory smell of pancakes filled her nose as she approached the kitchen. They were laughing and bantering among themselves, oblivious to her presence. She hovered on the wooden floor watching Freddie from the back. Emma was still oblivious to her, she had her hair up in a ponytail serving the boys breakfast, occasionally sucking on her burnt thumb.
Alice went to the group discreetly, planning to surprise Freddie from the back. But Emma noticed her lurking towards them in an oversized shirt with questionable stains, her hair in a messy tousled bun. She leaned against the kitchen counter and announced with a wry smile, "Good morning!"
Before Alice could react both Freddie and Brian had turned to face her. Brian nodded to her, "Morning Alice..."
She smiled back to Brian her face red. Freddie turned his body around and bit his lip at the sight of her. When Alice was close enough he grabbed her by the waist pulling her to him impatiently, his lips planted to her cheeks as she greeted everyone softly. "Morning..." she muttered sheepishly, considering Freddie was ravaging her on the side. Alice rested her arms on his shoulders, her fingers caressing his hair as she nuzzled the top of his head.
Freddie squeezed her tighter around his arms, pulling back to say, "Morning darling." He then continued to nibble on her jaw completely nonchalant of the spectators there in the kitchen. Alice turned to look at both Brian and Emma, waving awkwardly, "Breakfast smells good." Alice picked a slice of kiwi from Freddie's pancake, the juice sitting ludicrously on her lips when she took a bite. One glance and it drove him crazy, he migrated to her neck and attempted to slip a finger inside of her. Unbothered, Alice grabbed his crawling hand by her rear and removed it. She then covered his lips with her palm and with one soft kiss to his lips, Freddie released her reluctantly.
Emma gazed at the couple dissecting their intense body language, she would never classify her cousin as a deranged nymphomaniac if not for what happened last night. Here in Brighton of all places, she had one of the best guitarists in the world in her loft admiring her art pieces and yet it was hard to listen to one another when there was a couple making love rather loudly on the other side of the wall.
Alice walked and stumbled into the kitchen, her eyes squinted against the sunlight. She opened the fridge to get her cold-pressed pomegranate drink; she drank from the glass bottle, gasping before taking another swig. Freddie looked to Alice longingly, he was glad everything was back to normal, though a deeper conversation between them was due.
Throughout breakfast the group talked and laughed, not once addressing what had happened the night before and the couple's one week of separation. Eventually the boys went to the art corner to admire Emma's artwork. Emma finally had the opportunity to confront Alice, "Alright bruv, how many times did you had an orgasm last night?"
"Five," Alice said casually, focusing her attention to cut through her stack of pancakes as to not ruin its aesthetic. "My pancakes are so rubbery Emm... Phoebe said I tend to over-mixed the batter. What's your secret? I mean these pancakes are fluffy and slice like butter..." Emma rolled her eyes, she knew Alice was changing the topic.
Emma joined Alice and sat next to her. Mortified she saw a love bite barely covered by her oversized shirt, one glance to the boys, and she quickly tucked Alice's shirt to the side revealing her right bare shoulder. "Okay, that partly explains the maniacal sound coming from your bedroom."
Alice put down her cutleries and glanced back to the boys, thankful they didn't notice what had just happened. She pulled back her top covering her shoulder and muttered discreetly to Emma, "So yeah, about the bed sheets. I'll replace them, I promise. I'm sorry."
"Are they ripped to shreds? God sakes Alice! You guys just had to go full on animal kingdom mode in my house," Emma said through gritted teeth. "Thank god my neighbor is a 90-year-old woman who turns off her hearing aid after 6 pm Alice."
Alice took Emma's hands and kissed her by the knuckles. With pursed lips, "I'm sorry. I truly am. I don't know what got into us."
"Okay, I'll forgive you under one condition..." Emma said cheekily with a rotten smile that Alice knew so well. "If the baby is a girl you guys have to name them after me!" She said smugly, Alice merely rolled her eyes.
