Alice laid on her stomach next to Delilah on the living room carpet, stroking her back softly. "He promised..." Alice moaned to the sleepy cat. Delilah gave out a soft purr and proceed to turn on her back, exposing her bare stomach, hinting Alice to rub her there now. The cat was truly a diva.
Phoebe walked in with his Chamomile Tea and sat on the edge of the couch, "He's working honey, not out partying." Alice stared at Delilah's stomach going up and down, feeling disappointed that Freddie has yet to come back from the studio. Queen was in the midst of an album recording and Freddie being the perfectionist he is, would lost track of time and arrive home late in the morning. Alice had to be in the Dance Studio by 7:30 am every morning, hence they barely could spend time with each other in the last week.

"Okay, Friday night at Ritz! We shall dine and wine," Freddie proposed, lifting his glass of warm milk. Both of them were in the kitchen, in the wee hours of 4 am and Alice had woken up to make him his warm milk. Freddie love warm milk with honey just so he can sleep better, Alice learnt that from Freddie's sister.
Alice bit her inner cheek, reluctant to agree quickly considering Freddie's many broken promises. Losing track of time, being the most used reason. "Okay---" she mumbled reluctantly. Freddie shrieked joyfully and stood up, walking past her and planting a big sloppy kiss on her cheek.
"Stop it---!" she said pushing his face away. Freddie somehow knew the best way to win her back is by annoying her, because he is the only person who can get away with it.
Their last Date Night was ruined because Freddie lost track of time and came home at 11 pm. She cooked her famous Pasta Putnasca that night and left it on the dining table hoping to invoke the utmost guilt when Freddie arrived home, and he did. She slept in the guest room that night refusing to sleep in the same bed. But Freddie snuggled with her anyway and after much fidgeting from Alice, she succumbed and slept in his arms anyway.

"I hate him..." she mumbled rolling on her back, her little black dress slitting to her hip, revealing her undies. Alice was looking forward to the night she even went to the salon to have her hair done.
"Listen Alice, just go to Wessex Studio and meet him! Show him the effort you put," Phoebe paused to sip his tea. "He'll feel guilty enough and would take you out. There and then."
Alice lifted herself up, still on the floor. "You think so?" she mumbled, pulling down her dress.
Phoebe set his teacup on the table top and grab her handbag, handing it to her. She buried her face to his palm, slowly breathing in and out. Then she quickly got on her foot, "Okay let's do this!" Phoebe went up to her and puffed up her hair to give some volume. Alice took out her compact powder ensuring her make up is still on point.
"Wish me luck!" she said to a grinning Phoebe as they both walked out the door. She stroked a nonchalant Tiffany, the cat, as she passed by. If Freddie was not coming to her, then she will come to him, and she will make him feel extremely guilty about it.
"Taxi...!" Phoebe hailed a taxi nearby. It was as if the gods were with them, it was hard to get a taxi at Logan Street as people in that area would usually have their own chauffeur. He opened the door for her and mouthed Good Luck to a determined Alice.
"Hello Sir, you all right?" Alice asked the driver settling in the seat.
"Good, good. And yourself?"
"I'm good thank you. Wessex Sounds Studio please," she glanced to the driver in the rear-view mirror. Alice looked out the window with a deep breath, the streetlights making dizzy shadows and the car speeding as if knowing the urgency of the situation.
