His eyes.

That's the only damn thing I saw. His eyes. I swam around, not thinking about where I was going. Just his eyes. I narrowed my eyes as I swam around and finally bumped into something. Or rather, someone.

"Watch where you're swimming!" They yelled as panic shot through my spine. "I'm sorry!" I quickly apologized as I looked up at the person. It was a male with blond hair covering his angry blue eyes. His dark blue, almost black tail swung around like crazy as he swam towards me. Around his tan neck, was a necklace with a grey stone tied to it.

A siren.

When his eyes met mine, his expression changed. He looked shocked as I still kept apologizing under my breath.

"It's you," He mumbled as I looked at him with pure fear in my eyes. "What?" I asked horrified. "The mix and match," He smirked as I frowned at the name. "I'm not a mix and match," I stated with little nervousness in my statement. "You keep telling yourself that," He snapped as I tried to keep my stand.

"I was looking for you," He continued as I cocked an eyebrow. "Wut?" I asked confused.

"I need your help," He stated as I looked even more confused. "My help?" I repeated as he nodded with a smirk being pulled on his lips. "Yeah, you're the only one who can help me," He explained as he nonchalantly shrugged. "Why? I asked as he smirked. "Because you're part of everything," he explained. "Part mermaid, part siren, and part human!" He smiled.

I didn't have a good feeling about this dude.

"You'd be perfect for my experiment," He darkly chuckled. "And since when are there scientists underwater-"

"All I am saying is," He interrupted me as I frowned. "That we can help each other," He suggested as I scoffed. "How are you going to help me?" I asked as he smirked. "I've heard from a little seahorse that you've been thinking about a human," He started as my eyes widened. "How do you know that?" I asked very skeptically.

"A seahorse told me," He lied as I frowned. "So I'm offering you a deal," He started as I looked him in his eyes. "I'll turn you into a human, no need to kiss a human. And you're gonna fetch me something," He stated as I narrowed my eyes.

"What kind of thing?" I asked as he smiled, hiding his evil glint in his eyes. "It's a very little thing, no one will notice that it's gone!" He smiled with a wicked smile. "What is it?" I asked again not falling for his trickery. "Let's just say that I made a deal with someone. I had to give them something in return of my own life," He explained a frown being placed on his face.

"What. Is. It?" I barked never changing my expression. "It's called a battle plan," he explained as I frowned.

"I need you to get close to someone called: Alexander Hamilton, and get those battle plans," He explained as I frowned. "Ooooh...What's a battle plan?" I asked as he facepalmed.

"My god...-It's a piece of paper with plans," He explained. "Oooooh...What's a piece of paper?" I asked as he facepalmed again. "Ask for it when you can and you'll find out," He explained pretty irritated. "Okay...How will you turn me into a human?" I asked as he pulled out a little bottle with a shining purple liquid. "This will cling onto your human part of your should and get rid of your fin for a while," He explained as I looked at it.

"How are you so sure that I won't just run away?" I asked as he smirked. "This type of magic is very flexible," He smirked as he opened the cap. The purple liquid immediately disappeared into the sea. He put his hand to his necklace around his neck and the liquid returned back into the bottle.

"If you try anything funny, I will take away your legs just like that," He threatened as I frowned. "Not to mention that whenever you touch water, your legs will turn back into a tail. When you're dry again, your legs will return," He explained.

"If I do this, can I keep the legs?" I asked as he nodded. "Yes, you'll even be able to keep your legs when you're in the water if you do this," He nodded with a mysterious glint in his eyes. "The only way to become human is to kiss a human and turn them into a siren or to take this potion," He told me as I bit my lips while looking at the bottle. "And your soft mermaid side won't stand for that, now would it?" He asked with a baby voice.

I slowly reached for the bottle and when I had it in my hands. The guy smirked wide. "When do I have to bring these battleplans?" I asked as he chuckled. "I don't care, you need to build trust with that Alexander. It will take time, but don't take a lifetime," He told me as I nodded.

"Swim up and drink up," He told me before swimming away. "Wait!' I yelled before he left. He turned around. "What's your name?" I asked as I gripped my hands tight around the bottle. "That's for me to know and for you to think about," He riddled.

"Okay! See you later That's for me to know and for you to think about!" I saluted as I swam upwards. "THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT YOU-" But I couldn't hear him anymore.

I had swum up to the sky and looked around.

I pulled the bottle above water and looked at it one more time before opening it. I raised it up in the sky. "Raise a glass to freedom," I stated before drinking it all up. Suddenly I felt dizzy. My head began to spin as I felt my tail hurt really bad. It was like someone was splitting it in 2 with a very sharp rock.

I yelped before I fainted due to the pain it was bringing me.
