I stroked my hair back and looked at the stars. After twitching my lips a few times, I pushed myself off the stone railing and went to head back inside. That's when I saw every guest walk out of the house towards the garden. While looking around, I spotted a tall man with broad shoulders shining out his authority in the front of the crowd. My senses told me that this was presumably Philip Schuyler.

I focussed back on looking at the crowd and noticed a lack of the color...Blue. And with blue I mean bluecoats. I frowned deeply as I kept looking in the hope that I may have been colorblind all along. But Nah.

The ball continued in the nicely and warmly lit garden forum. I inhaled and looked around for the last time before walking inside. I looked at the empty ballroom. The marble floors gave my boots a pleasant click every time I stepped in the empty room. I looked up at the chandelier and then considered the fact that the rest may have left without me.

"Shoot," I cursed with a groan. "I am not sufficiently resourcefully brisk impertinent nor cunning to acquit my contrivancenal return through the Daliesque back to the main ground...Or...You know...I'm not smart enough to find my way back to the camp," I mumbled to myself.

I rubbed my head and walked back outside. I looked at the people and thought I might have a shot at talking to someone. So I walked into the crowd, no one seemed to pay attention to me. I filtered my way through the people until I found a familiar face.

"Hey Eliza," I greeted her and she smiled at me. "Hey, Sam," She greeted me back. "Do you know where Alexander is?" We both asked at the same time. I frowned. "You don't know where he is?" I asked as she shook her head no. A worried expression began to form on her face.

"When did you see him last?" I quickly asked. "Well...We were doing-" She coughed. "Stuff," She began as I nodded for her to continue. "And he told me he was going to be back in a sec' but he never did so I came outside with all the people," She told me. "I think they're gone," I admitted. She dropped her worry and let her face rest at a little sad expression.

"I could be wrong," I added. This didn't lighten the mood. She hugged herself and sighed. I put my hand on her shoulder. When I did, I saw Angelica come towards us from the mansion. "Okay I just came back from-," She sighed as I let go of Eliza. "Why are you sad?" Angelica immediately asked. "Nothing, Angie," Eliza reassured.

"Are you sure-"

Suddenly we heard a big bang.

I turned my head towards the mansion as did everyone else. We all watched as the glass shattered and fell down in the trees and bushes nearby. It all seemed to go in slow motion as multiple bangs followed, destructing more and more of the property. I looked around and saw Angelica wide-eyed and in awe.

"Peggy's in there," She whispered to herself. " mmmyes'SCUSE ME?!" I yelled as I looked at her. "Peggy is still in there! She's in her bedroom!" She yelled which caused even more panic. Without thinking I rushed past all the people inside the mansion. Everything was on fire, there was no way that I would return in one piece if I even made it inside. I coughed and backed up as the fire neared me. I backed out of the mansion.

A last and final bang was heard before I was blasted over the stone ring into a pile of glass. I coughed as carbon entered my lungs. With watery eyes, I stared at the mansion. I remembered everything Peggy could've told me about her room and where it was so I could go around, but nothing came to mind.

In the distance, I heard gunshots and brutal yelps of pain and suffering. I ran back towards the crowd, even though my whole back seemed to be covered in sharp glass. Everyone was running away from the fire. I turned my head towards the mansion to see it go up in flames. I ran in the same direction so I would be safe from the hellish fire and almost collapsed against a tree.

I could taste my blood in my throat and some of it leaked out of my mouth. I whipped it away with my sleeve before looking around to see that everyone had fled away. I was about to puke.

"Well," I heard behind me. I turned around. Loose hair strings flew around in the wind as I backed up from whatever or whoever was trying to talk to me. Thanks to the flames in the background, I could see the figures very clearly. They seemed to be wearing redcoats and kinda resembled our bluecoats.

"You must be that Y/N girl," The leader of the whole crowd stated. "The one that the fish told us about," He hissed almost spitting on me. He came closer making me back up. A sharp thing was placed under my chin making my head tilt upward.

"You know your mission, I presume," He told me as I slowly and carefully nodded. "Get those f*cking battleplans. All of them," He hissed at me. "Yes," I answered cowardly as he let my chin fall back into place. "It's taking time," He spat at me. "Let me remind you that every 3 months you fail to bring the plans, an attack near your personal life will take place," He told me as I looked at the mansion. "So don't fail next time," He barked as he turned around and walked off with his group into the woods.

I gulped as I held my chin in my hand. I was shaking.
