You know that feeling when you wake up a from a cold and you can breathe through your nose again?

Yes, that's how I felt after John had kissed me. Except the nose is my mouth. Fresh, crisp air entering my system once again. No petals pushing my air canal shut.

John's memory healed as the days passed and he even seemed to remember what had happened.

"I wanted to go and search for you because I was..." he lingered on that thought as he wrapped the wool blanket Lafayette had haven him a bit tighter around himself. "Kinda worried," he finished as a smile melted on my face.

Even people he had only seen after the accident, he seemed to remember those on their first meeting after the accident. Like Charles Lee and George Washington.

On that same note, we didn't tell Washington about this incident. We didn't lie to him! We just kept it a secret! You know, I've never actually seen Washington because I'm supposed to stay put. There's a reason for that. Washington remembers all the faces of his soldiers and when he sees me, his 'daddy instincts', as Alexander calls them, kick in and he will interrogate me. And based on what Lafayette, John and especially Alexander told me, an interrogation with Washington is a synonym to 'oooooh you're in trouble!'

So I'd rather stay put than get in trouble. I was already in enough trouble. I had to steal documents for the British army and betray everyone I had ever met. This just made me uncomfortable. It was either betray everyone I had ever known and lower their chances of winning this war or flee into the ocean and let the British burn down every city to find me.

If they could destroy the Schuyler mansion in one try, they could basically kill off a whole city with no trouble. And I would die of guilt. I mean, I'm going to die of guilt or a bayonet in my stomach by John as he yells: 'I WAS F*CKING RIGHT!'. One or the other.

The only question that roamed around was: How am I supposed to get those documents? I know 2 men who can give me those documents. Alexander and Washington. Washington is out because he could see right through me. Alexander is gullible.

"Time to get close to Alexander," I sighed as rose up from the bed and grabbed my blue coat. I stuffed my hair in a hat and headed outside. The snow had already started to melt. The dirt made the snow turn grey and slippery. I carefully made my way to town. Why?

I had promised Eliza and Angelica to come to the graveyard with them to visit Peggy.

When I arrived, I only saw Angelica at the entrance. As I was about to ask where Eliza was she stopped me. "She couldn't do it," She told me, cold-faced. She was doing a great job at keeping herself together. We walked together and headed to the tumb stone of Peggy. I glanced at Angelica as she looked at the stone.

Here lays Margarita Peggy Schuyler

Loved by all

She loved all

Silent tears fell off Angelica's cheeks. I kept looking at the stone. 'This is all my fault if I had done something she would still be here,' I thought as I shakily inhaled and exhaled. Angelica caved and draped her arms around my neck to keep herself from falling and cried in my chest.

I tensed up.

She stopped crying.

I was sweating.

She looked up at me with a furious expression.

I wished I had been born flat chested.

"You sticking sh*t!" She shrieked at me as she pushed herself away from me, pushing me into the dirt as she did. My hat fell off. Luckily I had made sure my hair still looked as male as can be before I headed out with some bands. "You-" She bit her tongue as other people stared her down. I looked away and grabbed my hat. I stood up and put the hat on, I kept looking down. "I'll be off now," I informed her as he folded her arms and put her hand over her mouth, looking at the ground.

I bowed my head down for her and turned around. 5 steps in and I heard my name. "Sam," She called silently as I turned around, looking her right in the eyes. She looked away fro a second. "Can you come upstate tomorrow to...Discuss this with Eliza and me?" She asked.

I remained silent but nodded. I turned back around and walked off.
