(Unlucky number 13)
All I'm going to say is: 'Damn my awkwardness,'
Coming to the party dressed as a male did have its perks. I could walk around where I wanted to go without being stopped multiple times. When someone ran into me, they would apologize and I could smile at people without being criticized! It was great.
But then again, it does have its downsides. Currently, this fine lady was talking to me. She was so friendly! She complimented my looks and laughed at the dumb questions I sometimes asked. We had an overall good time!
"No really, I've never known how it was on the trenches," She sighed as I shrugged. "It's very somber actually. It's sad to walk around there, especially at night," I sighed plucking out the memory of the night before. "Guess I'll never know," She somberly mumbled. She seemed a bit sad, so I thought I should cheer her up a bit. "You know what I'll never know," I nonchalantly threw in. "What?" She asked curiously. "How you got your hair so beautifully put like that," I beamed as I softly touched her curly hair.
Her cheeks immediately turned red as she giggled. I softly smiled, knowing I could make her smile. Good job Y/N! Add a badge to your collection!

"Why is she touching her hair like that? Did she just compliment it? Of course, she would she's a f*cking clueless charmer-" John grumbled under his breath as he intensely stared at the couple on the other side of the room.
We were standing near a table in a circle with champagne in our hands. "..." We three stared at John as he mouth foamed all over the place. "...You good fam?" Lafayette finally dared to say. John swiftly turned his head towards us. "What? Yeah. I'm fine," He dismissed and turned his head back.
"Jealous," Hercules mumbled and quickly sipped at his glass when John jerked his head back to us. We all avoided eye contact with him as he scoffed at us. "Jealous? Of that little half pinted fizzing brain cell? Nah," He sneered and folded his arms, perfectly balancing the champagne glass in his left hand.
We all stared at him in disbelief making him slowly sweat. He waved us off and looked back at the 2. "Let's go get drinks," Hercules told Lafayette. Lafayette agreed with a grunt and followed Hercules. Now I stood alone with John who only paid attention towards Y/N and the other girl.
"Hamilton," I heard from the other side of the room. I turned my head towards the sound and saw Washington. He motioned for me to come to him. I nodded and complied. I looked at John who glanced at me but quickly looked back at Y/N. I sighed and headed to Washington.

"-No, I really don't get appreciated enough in my family," The girl complained lightly. "I can't relate, I never had a real family," I admitted a bit out of the blue. "Oh, you poor little thing," She comforted as she put her hand on my arm. "Oh! I never needed any, so I didn't really miss it!" I waved off, scared of making her worry about me.
"Hello," I heard behind me. I turned my head to see Laurens lightly smiling towards the girl. "Miss Peggy Schuyler, is it? Pleasant to make your acquaintances," John politely stated. "And who might you be?" Peggy asked.
"John Laurens. I'm sure you've met...Sam," He stated as he motioned towards me. "S-" I started but John hushed me by throwing his arm around my shoulders and neck. Peggy and I made eye contact. "You see," He started as he kept his polite smile. "Sam is a good guy. He likes to be polite and stuff," He ranted as he twirled his hand around. I was very curious where he wanted to take this.
"And I'm sure you're interested in him," Laurens uttered in. Peggy slowly began to burn up and diverted her eyes away from mine. "But I'm pretty sure he hasn't told you this big detail," He smiled which made me kinda panic.
