Luke woke me up at 8 to tell me he was going to head home. Hannah still wasn't home, but she did arrive when I was eating my poptart.

"Sorry I didn't come home." She said, flopping down into the stool at our counter.

"It's fine," I looked up from my phone and gasped. Hannah's hair was all tangled with silly string and confetti in it. "Holy shit."

"I went to Katie's bachelorette party," she shook her head. "It's insane, really, because all my friends are getting married and I haven't even found a decent boyfriend."

I sighed. "It's okay, just think, you'll be able to do so much more things than them!"

"I've already had my fun years." Hannah shook her head, stealing a piece of my poptart.

"Well, don't let me stop your fun." I looked down at my phone again.

"Wait, what's today?"

"Uh, Saturday?" I said, looking up. Hannah's eyes widened an she quickly stood up.

"We're supposed to meet mom for lunch at 11 and she wants you to bring Luke." She said as she swiftly made her way to the bathroom.

"Wait, Luke?" I stopped as she close her bathroom's door. I don't know how he'll feel about this.

I grabbed my phone and clicked his contact, and waited for him to pick up.

"Didn't I just see you?" He said

"Yeah, and you're about to again. Be ready by 10:30."

Luke chucked. "Is this some way of asking me on a date, Skylar?"

I looked through my small amount of dresses. "If going to lunch with my mom and sister is a date to you, then yes."

"Wait, your mom? Isn't she-"

"A partner of a big law form in New York? Yes." I rolled my eyes.

Luke muttered a quick shit under his breath. "Okay I'll see you then."

I finally decided to wear a light blue dress with a black sweater on top. I grabbed a pair of black heels from the bottom of my closet. I loved these shoes, but since I was 5'7 I didn't want to wear them too much or I'd tower over a lot of people.

After doing my hair and makeup, I was sitting in the living room waiting for Hannah.

"Wow, you clean up well." I said once she came out. She rolled her eyes and grabbed her purse from the counter and we went out the door.

-----

I knocked twice on Luke's door, with Hannah right beside me.

"His house is really nice." She said, looking up at it.

"Yeah," I said as the door opened to reveal Luke. "Hi Luke."

He smiled, moving out of the way to let us in. Luke was wearing his black jeans (shocker: without holes) and a black v neck. He had a red and black plaid shirt on top of it. His hair was in its perfect quiff.

"I have to find shoes." He muttered, looking around the ground.

"Your house is beautiful, Luke." Hannah said, looking at a family picture on the wall.

"You can thank my mom for that." He said with a chuckle once he found his black converse.

"Speaking of mom, we should get going," Hannah said with a smile, turning over to the both of us. "You two are so cute."

I looked to Luke, who was still a little bit taller than me in my heels, but now we were almost eye level.

"Let's go!" He said happily grabbing my hand.

When we got in the car, Luke and I sat in the back seat together.

"You look really good today." I whispered to him.

"Are you kidding? Have you seen yourself?" He whispered back.

"Shhh" I said, putting my finger on his lips.

"You guys are weird." Hannah said from the front, eyeing me in her mirror. I laughed, taking my finger off of Luke's lips.

We finally pulled into the restaurant, which was a nice Italian restaurant that I've never been to.

When we got in, the waiter led us to a table in the back. Typical, my mom never likes being in the front of restaurants.

I saw her sitting, looking at her menu. Her brown hair was pulled into a low pony tail, even though it was curled. She was dressed nicely as usual.

"Girls, hello." She said, standing up and giving us hugs. She stopped when she saw Luke.
