My converse tapped against the tiled floors of the school. I was making my way to the lunchroom, the way I do everyday. Even though it was usually just Calum, Danielle, Ashton, and I, we still had a great time. It always felt as if something was missing without Luke.

I turned the corner to the lunchroom but immediately bumped into someone.

"Oh god, I'm sorry." I said, looking up slowly but gasped once my eyes met his blue eyes.

"Déjà vu, huh Sky?" Luke said with a smile. My hand shot up to my mouth and tears pricked my eyes.

"You weren't supposed to come home until June!" I squealed, quickly wrapping my arms tightly around him. His long arms returned the favor as he kissed the top of my head.

"They were happy with my progress, so they let me go early." he said quietly.

"Luke Hemmings," I said into his shoulder. "You are the best dude ever."

"I know," he said, pulling me away so he could look at my face. "I missed you're pretty little face."

I felt my cheeks heat up. "Does Calum know you're here?"

He nodded. "They all know I am."

"They never told me?" I asked shocked.

He smiled, something I've been longing to see. "Nope. It was part of my plan."

"Your plan?" I took my arms off of his. "What plan?"

"Skylar Louise Santiago," he said. I cringed at my full name. He slowly moved his hand to his back pocket, grabbing something. "Would you give me the honor," he started getting on to one knee.

"Are you..." I stepped back, really confused. "Luke, i'm not even out of my senior year of high school and neither are yo-"

"Skylar, shush," he said, rolling his eyes and putting a ring pop onto my finger. "I was just asking you to be my girlfriend."

I smiled, putting a hand to my mouth as I started to laugh. "Oh my god."

Luke laughed too, getting off of the ground awkwardly. "So?"

"Of course i'll be your girlfriend, Luke!" I said, standing on my toes and kissing him. "I just wish you would've gotten me a cherry ring pop instead."

"Wow, Skylar, I spent a whole seventy-five cents on that. I'm not going to have gas in my car for a month." he said with a fake frown, obviously trying not to laugh.

"Oh jeez." I said with a giggle, grabbing his hand. We walked into the lunchroom towards Calum's table.

"Hey! There's the love birds!" Calum said happily.

"Did she say yes?" Ashton asked, holding Danielle's hand.

"Oh yeah." Luke held up my hand, making me laugh more.

"I have a plan guys," Calum said as we sat down. "Since Grace is driving up tonight, how about you all come over and eat pizza rolls and watch movies with us?"

"I'm so down." Luke said, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him.

It was defiantly worth waiting eight months of Luke in treatment to see him this happy. I looked at his wrist, past the few bracelets to see no scars, just skin. I smiled, putting my hand on his leg.

Luke was home now, officially my boyfriend. He was happy and dorky. His blue eyes now shined with life.

"I love you, Luke." I said quietly to him.

"I love you more, Skylar," he kissed my forehead. "More than you'll ever know."
