"Okay, which dress?" Hannah looked at me, holding two similar dresses in each hand.

"Why are you having me help you?" I looked between the two dresses, "Aren't these just the same dress?"

"No, they aren't. This black one has a bow on the back and this one has a bow in front."

I shook my head. "Why are you even getting dolled up, anyway?"

She paused, smiling slightly. "I have a date. Like, an actual date."

I felt myself smile, too. I couldn't remember the last time Hannah has gone on a date. "That's great, Hannah, congrats."

"I'm just so nervous, you know?" He took one final look at the dresses before turning back to me.

"This one," I pointed to the one with the bow on front, "The bow will accent your waist and as for the other one, will make your butt look bigger."

She looked up at me with a shocked expression. We stared at each other a few seconds before bursting into laughter.

"How did you know that?"

"I'm a genius, Hannah!" I twirled, "But seriously, I have been watching way too many wedding shows."

Hannah giggled before I left the room, letting her get ready.

Wow. Another night alone. Of course, unless Luke shows up. But then again, maybe I should go check on Calum.

He still hasn't talked to me since the whole hospital thing last month, and I've tried contacting him tons of time. Iris said he might just be distracted or overly analyzing the whole situation.

I picked up my phone and called him, which he didn't answer.

I'll just walk over there. I thought to myself.

"Hannah, I'm going to Calum's house!" I yelled, slipping on my converse and opening the door, not waiting for her response.

~~~~~
I knocked on his door twice before opening it, like we always did. The whole house was quiet, except for muffled voices upstairs.
"Calum?" I took my shoes off and went to the stair case. As I got closer to the next floor, the voices were louder. I could hear Calum talking when I got to his door, opening it slightly and peeking in.
"Seriously, she's my best friend." He said to the other person, whom I couldn't see. Calum looked pissed.
"Well, she's mine too!" It was Luke.
"She wouldn't be if it wasn't for me, Luke," Calum said back. "All I wanted was for you to have more support for your issues and now you're-"
"I don't need support!" Luke said louder.
"Yes you fucking do, Luke!" Calum said. Luke stayed quiet. "You have tried killing yourself twice, you cut, you're miserable! Do you even realize the effect it has on us?"
Luke was silent. I moved the door a little more, trying to see his face.
"You're not the only one with problems, man. Don't you see? We're trying to help you and all you're doing is pulling us down with you."
It was silent. Completely silent. I opened the door a little more, which it made a creaking noise.
"Shit." I muttered.
"Skylar?" I heard Calum say softly as he opened the door.
I stepped into the room and looked between the two boys. Luke looked tense, but his face was a different story. Shock, sadness, and anger showed.
Calum stepped back towards his bed, looking down at his feet. "How much did you hear?"
"Way more then I needed to, I think." I said quietly. They both looked at me, both sad. It felt like a tug of war with my heart.
I wanted to hug my best friend. I wanted to tell him to calm down and tell him he's a great friend to me and Luke.
But I also wanted to hug Lug, kiss him, and tell him it's not his fault. Tell him he'll be okay and that we are here.
"Was this necessary?" I said, looking over to both of them. "We're supposed to support each other."
"Don't even start that, Skylar," Calum said. "We do support each other, but Luke isn't doing his fair share on this."
"I'm-" Luke started, but Calum fired back.
"What even makes you like this, Luke? Is all of this in your head?" Calum said loudly. "Can you even imagine how much we care about you, yet you're still mad at the world and you just want to die?"
"Calum..." I said slowly.
"It really sucks when your best friend would rather die then try to get happier. It really sucks when you put all your time and energy into a friend who-"
"You know what, Calum? You don't fucking know! You aren't me and you can't control my thoughts." Luke said quickly.
"I'm not trying to!" Calum shot back.
"Guys, please stop." I said.
"You aren't even with me half of the time! It's always Iris this and Iris that."
"Guys..." I said again.
"You're always with Skylar! You took Iris' best friend from her, dude!"
"Guys!" I yelled, making them both stop. "What the fuck, seriously?"
"Skylar, this doesn't involve you, just go home." Luke said sternly.
"Please, Skylar, this isn't for you." Calum also said.
I shook my head. "I can't stand seeing you two fight." I turned and left the room, going quickly to the front door and slipping my shoes on.
