(I'll tell you when to play the song)

As I stood on the platform, I trembled with fear. We had one minute left until the games started, and I wasn't sure I could go through with it. I was sure I was going to die, out of fear or someone actually killing me.

"30.." The monitor said, making me shiver. I looked around me, seeing my partner, Kyle, stand there with an emotionless face. I look at everyone else, seeing a little girl, maybe about twelve or thirteen years old? She had light brown hair in pigtails and she stood next to a boy with blond hair. He looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile.

I wiped the tears that slid down my face.

"10.. 9.. 8.."

In the last few seconds, I took deep breaths, closing my eyes and waiting for the final seconds to be up.

"3.. 2.."

I inhaled a deep breath.

"1." I ran, not looking at anyone else. I quickly grabbed whatever I could, and I ran. I decided to run into a forest, seeing other people run in there too. I whimpered, hoping they wouldn't try anything. But I was wrong. I heard a girl scream in the distance, so I ran faster.

I hid in a bush for a second, trying to see what I had gotten. I looked and saw that I got a tiny combat knife, along with a backpack. I opened it and saw that there were a few things: water canteen, a can or two of food, a small blanket, a long rope, and a pack of bandages. I sighed, putting the backpack around me.

"So, where's that partner of yours; the cute one? I have a few things in mind that we could do to her." I gasped a bit, covering my mouth.

"I don't know, she probably ran like a pussy." I recognized that voice; it was Kyle. I furrowed my brows, in confusion and worry. I hope that they weren't talking about me, and the fact that they're ready to kill this early-

"I'm sure I saw her run over here, where could she have gone?" I heard rustling around me, so I held in my breath. I knew I'd have to leave sooner or later. "Wait, whats that over here?" I heard rustling getting louder, so I took this as my chance. And I ran, not bothering to look back because I knew that they were after me.

I thought I had lost them so I climbed up a tree. I knew it wasn't the best option, but it was probably the only one that would work. I climbed up high enough to where I think most of them couldn't go.

"Where'd that little bitch go?!" I heard someone yell. I looked down and saw that it was probably the guys from earlier. But there were about seven of them. I panicked more, letting out a small sob. I quickly shut my mouth, but it was too late. They heard me.

"She's up there!" One of the girls with blonde hair said. I looked down and saw all of them staring at me with hungry eyes. I saw Kyle down there and I looked at him pathetically. I was sad he betrayed me, but it was probably the best idea. If you were alone out here, you'd most likely die in the first few hours.

"C'mon, get down! We won't hurt you, I promise." I looked at who said that, and it was the weirdo from earlier. He had brown hair and brown eyes, and he wore a red shirt; he looked like the leader of the group. He stared me with a crazy smile.

I let more tears fall. I was scared; I wasn't sure what to do. I couldn't get down because they'd instantly kill me, and I couldn't jump to another tree, the branches probably couldn't support that. So I took the rope out from my backpack and tied it around me and the tree. I knew I'd have to stay here for a while, and I couldn't risk falling out of the tree.

"You won't stay there forever, bitch!" A fatter boy said, with brown hair.

A girl with long black hair stared to shoot arrows at me, and thankfully she missed each time. She really was a horrible shooter.
