Chapter four

A little Jacklyn Chapter x

Jack's P.O.V

I've just picked Rye up at the hospital and taken him to his house (Andy's). I'm on my way to see Brook now, I've not heard from him since the day we went to the hospital and I wanted to see it he's ok.

I knock on the door and wait until he opens it afew minutes later he appears in the doorway, his eyes red and his hair all in face.
"Hey Brook," I smile softly,
"Hi..." he mutters,
"Are you holding up ok?" I ask and he doesn't reply only looks down "Talk to me Brook, I'm worried about you."
"I can't be happy... not with Andy in a coma, my best friend, without him..." he cuts himself of by crying,
"It's ok, Andy would want you to be happy,"
"But I can't be happy without him..."

I get the piece of paper out of my pocket I saved to show him. "I was with Rye earlier reading some of the letters he wrote to us while he was away, this ones for you," I wrap my arm around him as he reads.

Brook's P.O.V

Jack hands me the piece of paper,

Dear Brook,

This letter is for you, I felt so bad for leaving you, I know you would have been upset because we've never not been with eachother longer than a 2 months.

I hope Jack and Rye have looked after you and I hope you're happy. Don't forget to stop been happy,

I love you lots and I've missed you but I'm coming home soon, I love you and don't forget Jack and Rye do too,

Andy x

I let the tears continue to fall down my face, and rest my head on Jack's chest until I fall asleep.

I wake up an hour or so later when I feel Jack move from beside me. I open my eyes to see him walking back into the room with two cups of coffee.

"Oh sorry if I woke you up," he says before giving me a coffee,
"It's fine, thanks," I say taking a sip,
"Well you read the letter, Andy wants you to be happy, Rye and Andy's mum have gone to visit him so I'm free if you want to do anything?" He asks
"Sure," I smiles for what feels like the first time in a long while.

Jack's P.O.V

I decide to take Brook to the cinema, like our first date, but this time it's going to go well. We got to watch incredibles 2 again.

After watching the film we go back to Brooks house to sit and talk. It ends up been a great happy night, where we forget about everything else that's going on. Brook seems a lot happier than he was this morning which is great.

"Brook, I know we thought about this before and it didn't well work... but will you be my boyfriend?"
"Of course!" He leans in and presses his lips on mine, and I hold him until we fall asleep...
