Chapter ten

Andy's P.O.V

'Meet me 10pm at the tree x' I get a text from Rye, we never meet that late, I'm sure there's some reason.

I throw on a hoodie and tell mum I'm meeting my friend "Be back before 1,"
"I will," I smile as I leave and walk to the tree in darkness.

I get there but instead of it been all dark as I expected there are fairy lights wrapped around the low branches on the tree with a blanket laid across the floor where we usually sit on the grass.

"Do you like how cliche I made it?" I hear Rye laugh I didn't even notice him standing next to me,
"It really is beautiful though!" I smile and we sit down on the blanket eating snacks Rye brought.

"What did you do all this for?" I ask quietly,
"To be honest I just wanted a really extra way to ask you out," he laughs and looks at me.
"Wait wait?! Are you?"
"Yes I am... Andy will you be my boyfriend?" He smiles
"What you're joking! Of course I will!" I hug him, and we stay in each others arms until I have to leave at 12:45. I don't want to leave I just want to stay like this forever with my boyfriend.

He kisses me on the cheek as we say goodbye outside my house. I walk in and can't stop smiling I've just had the most perfect night of my life.

"Andy?" My mom shouts as I walk in,
"yes?"
"Come in the room," oh no this doesn't sound good!
"What?" I ask nervously,
"Have you got a boyfriend? Was that him?" She asks calmly pointing at the window.
"Who?"
"The boy that just kissed you," she laughs "I'm not stupid," she grins.
"Well... yes, he asked me out today," I tell her as I try to hide my blush,
"What's his name?"
"Ryan Beaumont, but he likes to be called Rye,"
"Ok Andy, I'm happy for you but don't ever let him hurt you or hide you away,"
"Ok," I smile before going to bed.

I'm pretty sure Rye would never hurt me, not on purpose anyway, but I know he will hide me away...
