"I have a few questions, Y/N. I'm going to need you to answer them."
You froze in place. "Um, what is it?" You questioned wearily. You were caught by surprise. You didn't think that Hoseok would even bother looking at you with the continuous silence throughout the trip to the dumpster, but there you were.
"Does he know about my act? Is he suspicious of me? Does he think I'm a terrorist or something? What is it?!" You frantically wandered the possibilities in your head.
"What are you doing to them?" He asked, raising his eyebrows at you.
"Huh?"
"You can't possibly think that we can't see the things you're doing." Hoseok clicked his tongue. "Those things with Taehyung, your arguments with Namjoon, Jimin actually talking to you. What are you doing to them?"
Your entire being was flooded with relief. It would still be a rough question to answer, but at least he wasn't being suspicious of your act. You were too busy freaking out before to notice, but now you could see that there was a look of genuine curiosity on his features. There wasn't the appearance of accusation like you initially thought. (Surprise lol, I read your comments)
"I-" You began to answer honestly. "I actually don't know."
Everything you had done so far was just instinct. It was one of your talents. You just sort of had this psychological intuition, you just knew what to say and do. You had a tendency to do the thinking afterward, like you would say something and then think it through until you found the outcome of your statement, generally before the other person would even respond. You were almost always right though.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Hoseok took a step towards you with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Well, it's just kind of a thing I have. Like, I just know what to do, and so I do it, and it works out. Ever heard of intuition?" You sassed him slightly at the end of your statement, propping a hand on your hip.
He ignored your rudeness. "Of course I have, but never so strong that it could do what you've done."
"Have I done something bad?" You raised an eyebrow.
"Absolutely not," Hoseok exclaimed. "But you seem to have accomplished the impossible multiple times over a span of not even two days. I'm amazed. I think I'll look forward to the rest of your stay."
He smirked at you lightly before turning on his heel and walking through the door. You stood there stunned until the sound of the door clicking shut snapped you out of your stupor.
"What?" You whispered to yourself before shaking your head and moving to catch up with the man, leaving the musty alleyway behind.
What did this mean? Did Hoseok like you now? It couldn't be that, his statement was too vague to imply something that strong. But, it did mean that you were getting closer.
You lightly jogged until you were close behind Hoseok. The rest of the trip back to the practice room was silent, just like it had been on the way to the dumpster. Once you arrived, you retreated back to your chair, as the boys socialized among themselves whilst waiting for their food to settle. You found yourself watching them intently. For the moments of that break, they suddenly seemed like different people once again (if that was even possible). They were acting like best friends, teasing each other and laughing and being happy. Even gloomy Hoseok was smiling brightly across from a giggling Jin. You glanced at Jungkook to see an intensely shaken and overjoyed expression. The boy nearly looked like he could cry, and the reason why hit you at that moment.
