You were lucky.
It would be near impossible for you to show your gratitude to the universe for how lucky you were that day.
Kwak Jaekyu, someone you could now call a friend, had helped you explain the situation to the cafeteria, which worked out surprisingly well. Almost to the point of barely seeming realistic. It seemed that nobody really wanted to cause an uproar about it, or eternally hate you for what you had done, so it seemed that you were safe. However, something you hadn't bothered to worry much about was the fact that no one took the video down. That video could be trending on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, for who even knows how long. Heck, it could even end up on YouTube somehow. You didn't bother asking anyone to delete it, you figured it wouldn't be anything worth fighting over.
Unfortunately for you, though, the internet was an amazing place, where anything could get anywhere in the blink of an eye.
You found that irrelevant though. You had never been one to care much about how you appeared to people on the internet, so long as your appearance wasn't the type to attract sexual predators. So basically, as long as you were clothed, you didn't really care where you ended up on the internet. It wasn't like you actually ever did anything bad enough to attract the negative attention of people anyways.
Aside from all that though, you were extremely glad to make it out of that lunch period alive. Part of you expected everyone to not care, because it wasn't exactly a huge deal, but another part of you feared a mob of Kwak Jaekyu's entourage would attack you because of what you had said. Luckily, things worked out. Surely there was no need to fret over whatever showed up on the internet if nobody was really mad at you anyways.
As usual with teenagers, everyone was over it within a couple hours. It was almost as if the whole incident had never even happened. By the time school was out, you were payed no more attention than you would normally receive anyways.
As you walked back home from school, you felt stress-free. You hadn't felt that way in a while. Almost always you had Bangtan to worry about. After all, it wasn't like helping them was just a hobby that you could pick up or put down whenever you wanted to. It was an actual job, as in, you were technically part of the work force at age 14. It was actually kind of weird to think about. If anybody your age had a job right now it would be at a convenience store perhaps, or helping at a family business (if they even had time with school, homework, and then cram school at night). You really found it so wild. If you were to tell the kids at school that you were working for a record label as basically a psychologist for one of the biggest boy bands in Korea (and rising), who would believe you? They'd think you were just a delusional foreigner trying to make friends.
"Ugh," you muttered under your breath. "Whack."
It had only crossed your mind one or two times, but sometimes you couldn't help but wonder, what if your job got in the way of regular life? Obviously, things had changed drastically for you, but to the rest of the community, you were still a normal girl. You had no sort of reputation, although you may get more attention now that you officially associated with Kwak Jaekyu. To anyone on the street, you were just another student. To anyone in your school, you were just another foreigner with a Korean name, (F/N). But, what if one day, your job made you more than that? What if something happened, and you had to tell people about your job? What would people think of you? You couldn't tell. If people really freaked out you'd probably have to switch schools, or worse case scenario, even your family would have to move. That was unlikely though. You weren't meant to be a public figure anyways, you're job was pretty strictly behind the scenes. You had to dodge the camera and avoid publicity as much as possible, just like the rest of the staff. Not to mention, your job would be way too difficult to explain to the public— not only would they be unable to understand, but there would probably also be tons of backlash.
