"Wait, so he said what now?"
"I know, isn't it insane?! What a turn of events!" you whisper shouted, rapidly jotting down the nights events in your journal.
"So does this mean it's like, over now? Like, are you two cool now?" Jungkook inquired, bewilderment written all over his features.
"I don't really know," you muttered, "but at the very least I think things will be better."
"Well that's a relief. He's been hating you for so long, at this point it's just getting annoying," he sighed, crossing his hands behind his head and reclining more comfortably into his seat. You couldn't help but agree. Much like everyone else, you were also getting tired of Namjoon's unwarranted hatred. You just wanted to get to the important stuff, which meant fixing everyone, but it was difficult when you constantly had to worry about what his next attack would be, or what he would use to hold against you or another member. You had spent so much time trying to help everyone and avoid Namjoon at the same time that you had barely gotten to work on the real problems, at least not as intensively as you would have liked to.
"It sure is. I can finally focus on some other things for once," you agreed, still writing in your journal.
"Like what?"
"I'm not exactly sure. Yoongi, Hoseok maybe... Taehyung,"
"You sound upset. Did something happen between you and Taehyung?" Jungkook looked at you with concern.
You sighed, placing your fingertips on your temples. "Ugh, I had to lie to him, Jungkook-ah," you whined, bringing him to nod in understanding.
"Jimin said that he told you about Taehyung's rampage back in Japan. He was really onto us," Jungkook responded, leaning forward in his chair to rest his elbows on his knees.
"He called me, and, he asked me what's going on, what we're not telling him. I was gonna finally tell him the truth, Jungkook-ah, I was prepared and everything, and then at the very last second I chickened out and made up some stupid story to feed him so that he'd stop being suspicious because I'm stupid and a terrible friend," you ranted, tossing your journal and flopping over onto your back, staring up at the ceiling. Your ribs felt sore from laying on your stomach for so long, and that somehow added to your current stress.
"(Y/N)-ah, you're not a terrible friend, don't ever say that. Taehyung absolutely adores you, and I'm sure he will whether or not you choose to tell him what's going on right now," Jungkook exclaimed. Hearing you say you were "stupid and a terrible friend" almost offended him. He knew that you were so much more than that, you were one of the smartest people he knew, and you did so much for them, you were easily an amazing friend! Jungkook was incredibly passionate about everything you were doing to help him and his band mates, and hearing you doubt yourself just about angered him.
"I don't know, I'm going to have to tell him one day, but now that I've lied to him about it I'm afraid he'll hate me when the time comes. Like, what if he thinks I never actually wanted to be friends with him and it was all a lie so I could get paid or whatever? That would be horrible! I really care about him, but I had to go and lie about stuff and mess it up and- ugh! I'm a terrible person!" you continued, placing a palm on your forehead exasperatedly.
Jungkook let out a frustrated huff. "Yah, sit up and look at me," he demanded, using a strict tone you had never heard from him before. Hesitantly, you obeyed, cautiously shifting so that you were sitting directly across from him. You weren't sure what to say, so you sat quietly and waited for him to speak.
