Note: There's a bit of profanity in this chapter, just so you know. K bye.
Jungkook could hardly wipe the smile off of his face while talking to you over the phone. While he had Jimin—who was gradually adjusting to being social with the younger boy exclusively—and at times Taehyung, he still felt horribly lonely without you. He could tell Taehyung did too, the man seemed to be stumbling through the days like a lost puppy without you around. Not only that, but his emotional sensitivity had come back in your absence, causing him to be highly irritable, but also just as easy to please or sadden. Although, it was safe to say that pleasing him was the least common occurrence when it came to the other members. It seemed that your presence kept him at bay, but the shock of being suddenly pulled away from you had temporarily threw whatever progress he had made into the trash.
"Ah, it's past one o'clock! (Y/N)-ah, you have school tomorrow, you need to go to sleep!" Jungkook exclaimed, finally taking note of the time. He heard you jolt on the other side of the line.
"Oh my gosh, you're right! Wait, why are you still up? You have way more responsibilities than I do," you inquired worriedly. He chuckled at the fact that you were concerned about him when you should have been more concerned about yourself. It was hard to learn on little sleep; Jungkook would know.
"We were lucky enough to get a free day tomorrow, that's why I could call you at all tonight- or last night I guess, technically," he explained. You were relieved to know that you weren't taking precious sleep away from him. They worked hard, and you would feel guilty if him taking the time to talk to you would affect his performance.
"Okay, good. I probably should get to bed then. So, goodnight, Jungkook-ah," you said, finishing your statement with a yawn. Jungkook smiled fondly at your tired voice.
"Goodnight, (Y/N)-ah, get some rest. Bye."
The man dropped his phone and fell back onto his bed. He was proud of himself for not waking up his sleeping hotel roommate, Taehyung, and glad to have been able to talk to you after so long. With a gleeful grin, he wrapped himself in the comforter and slowly drifted off to sleep. However, what he didn't know was that Taehyung was not asleep. And, after hearing the younger boy, he was not happy.
The next morning, Taehyung woke up in a terrible mood. The second he sat up in bed, his eyelids dropped into a glare and his brows furrowed behind his messy blonde fringe of bedhead. Running his hand through his hair, he looked at his sleeping band mate, a frown tugging at the corners of his lips.
He couldn't believe that Jungkook would call you behind everyone's backs, especially his own. Heck, he even did it when Taehyung was right there. He knew that Jungkook knew how much he missed you, everyone did, and yet the younger male had the audacity to call you when he thought Taehyung was asleep. It pissed him off. He didn't even have your phone number! Wasn't he your friend? Did he not deserve the ability to contact you whenever he wished to? Or worse, did you not want him to talk to you?
Taehyung pulled himself out of bed and into the bathroom, where he gave himself a long look in the mirror. He was a mess, through and through. There were bags under his eyes, and he could see temporary creases by his mouth and between his brows from constant expressions of either despair or anger. The tired glare on his face made his disheveled appearance no better. With a sigh, he splashed some cold water on his face in hopes of improvement, and then left his hotel room to the designated gathering room, which was just an extra large room that they would use for group matters. He didn't particularly want to go in there, he had no urge to be around his members at the time, nor was it a good idea. Taehyung's current mood could have only been described as utterly lethal; one wrong move and someone, anyone, could get hurt.
