Hey guys! I'm back at it again with another Q/A for y'all! This should be fun, so let's go!
Q1: Is Taehyung going to get mad when he finds out the reader's secret?
A1: This was a super popular question, but unfortunately I can't give you a full answer because that'd spoil the plot. Also, I can't tell you because tbh I haven't decided for myself lmao. So, maybe he will? Maybe he won't? You'll find out! Luckily for you though, I can ensure you it will turn out for the best in the end. Question is: what is really "the best?"
Q2: How did you get the idea for this book?
A2: Well, I think I mentioned this in the last Q/A, but I actually came up with the sequel for this book first. I intended to write that storyline and just leave it at that, but I realized there would have been a lot of things missing in that plot line and it would have been really confusing and made virtually zero sense. So, I came up with Brotherly Love as kind of a prequel to where all the romantic fun begins, which will be in the sequel! But how I actually came up with the plot for this isn't all that interesting. Sometimes, late at night when I'm bored and alone, I get ideas. Of course, late night ideas are very rarely normal. So, one late night, my brain told me "Hey, you know what'd be cool? Bts falling for someone as young as you lmao." And the sequel to this story was born, and then this was born to add more depth and character development to the sequel. And that's how I came up with the idea!
Q3: How'd you apply all the negative traits to the members?
A3: Well, at first I just kind of randomly assigned some stuff. Like, I was just kinda like "alright so what's the opposite of J-Hope's appearance? Depression," and went for it. Gradually though, I found a way to relate their changes to who they actually are as people. For example, I know that hate has been a particularly large issue with Hoseok in the past, so I related his depressive state to being hated by someone important. And with Jimin, we are all aware that he's had body image issues, so him isolating himself from everyone and burying his ability to feel was his way of pushing those insecurities away. Jungkook is just a shy boy, so it was easy to implant anxiety into his personality. As for Taehyung, I decided for him to be unstable because I feel like he already seems to be a fairly emotional person, and very oriented with the people he cares about. So, when some of the people closest to him became more hostile, I found it reasonable that he would sort of have a melt-down that could potentially drive him off the deep end. Yoongi is a little bit different. We all know that it's a bit of a stretch to ever think that Yoongi would become a snob, but that's partially why I decided to portray him that way. My dad once told me about a musician in a band he liked that grew up with a really rough home life, and having those issues is what made his music so good and got his band famous. However, once they had a lot of money and his life was better, his music started to lack because he didn't have that unhappiness to dwell on anymore. I kind of pictured a similar sort of thing happening to Yoongi, since a lot of his quality content is due to the background he came from with his journey to become a musician. For Namjoon, I know that he gets a lot of praise for his intelligence, and he's also pretty important as the leader of bts. So, I made it to where it got to his head, and made him egotistical. Then we all know he's the god of destruction, so I kind of put that behind his violent tendencies. Then of course, Jin's condition is pretty obvious, he just went too long without any sort of appreciation. I kind of relate that to his position in the band, since he's a very underrated member, with some of the fewest lines. I imagine that there could be a point where he just has enough of doing the best he can without getting the recognition he deserves. Anyways, that was one long-ass answer, so I'll move on now.
Q4: How many more chapters do you estimate you'll update before moving on to the next book?
A4: I'm not quite sure, but probably a lot. Considering I've already taken roughly 35 chapters to basically just describe the first month, it will probably be a while before I reach a conclusion. I might just have to speed up the plot a little bit by doing more time skips, but I find it important to go into a lot of detail, especially when it comes to the characters' emotions and inner workings. I really want to capture all the changes they go through instead of just skipping around, but I really probably should speed it up a little bit. Or perhaps I should just make my chapters longer. Anyways, I estimate that my story could reach 100 chapters, but that depends on whether I speed things up or not. If I keep at this rate, I'll probably definitely get 100 or more chapters, but if I speed it up it will probably end up around 70-80. Either way, we've got a loooong way to go.
