All eight of you had been piled into a van, you making sure to take a window seat. The one called Jungkook sat on your other side, but he didn't acknowledge you much. Neither did anyone else honestly. You pulled out your phone and plugged in your earbuds. Might as well enjoy yourself if you're going to be in a van with a bunch of people you don't know. It also looked rude on the outside, so that helped keep up the act. The vehicle started up and you began moving forward. You stared out the window, completely aware of the fact that a few of the boys were trying to get your attention to talk to you, and also completely ignoring them.

So, when you suddenly pulled your earbuds out and put your phone down, everyone turned to you. Your gaze was still fixed out the window, but when they looked out to see what caused such a reaction from you, all they saw was a homeless man on the side of the street.

"What made you take out your earbuds?" Jimin asked curiously, leaning over the seat in front of you so he could see your face. Momentarily forgetting about your facade, you answered.

"It's the least I could do." You began. "That man has been pushed to the edge. His life has taken such a turn that he has to stand on the street corner with a sign. He has to beg for something that other people have plenty of. It's already enough that we're driving by him in a nice car, warm, and covered in nice clothing. The least I could do in this instance is to not flaunt my wealth. I wish I could do more, but I can at least drop my luxury items for a few seconds to show that man some respect. In the world we live in, even that is more than half of people would do."

Everyone was speechless. Even intellectual Namjoon's mouth hung open slightly. They hadn't expected something like that to come out of the mouth of someone so young. Just that tiny rant you gave impacted their perspectives a bit, and quite frankly made them all the more curious about the mysterious teen in the back corner of their van.

You, remembering you were supposed to come off as a nonchalant and immature teen, quickly tried to pick up your act.

"Whatever though." You plugged your earbuds back into your ears and shot them all a quick side-glare before continuing to stare out the window. When Bang PDnim had said you could teach them a few things, he was definitely right. You definitely planned on demonstrating your intellect much more in the future, but for now, you had a job to do.

The members all slowly moved back into their spots, staring blankly as a silence took over the van. Jungkook, with his internal goal to gain your trust first, was especially shook. He didn't know if you were even the type of person he would want to be close with, he just felt like he should be there for you out of his basic human decency. As a good person, he didn't want you, a child, to be exposed to bad things. After hearing your little speech though, it really hit him that you are much more than meets the eye. Clearly there's more to you than you've shown in the past hour, and he plans to find out.

The rest of the ride to their dorms continues silently, as everyone is still shaken from the situation earlier. It was really such a surprise to hear those deep thoughts come out of your mouth, but it didn't quite settle well with one particular member.

Namjoon sat brooding silently in the front seat. A few years ago, it wouldn't have been like him to act this way, but things are different now. It bothered him that you could think of something as philosophical as that- rather that he didn't think of it. Not to mention the fact that you said it without a second though in perfect sentence structure in a language he assumed wasn't your first since you're a foreigner.

Namjoon was always praised for being a genius. It had gotten to him- he may have acted humble when he was complimented publicly, however, he had become conceited in reality. But, what was he if his intelligence was easily matched by a child? He's nothing, and that's what he believed at that moment in the van. He refused to let that be true, he's going to stay the top dog in the realm of IQ, and you weren't even going to come close. He was going to show you; you wouldn't even be able to think above second grade level by the time he was finished. At least that's what he planned.
