A/N: Just to make things easier on you guys, "(F/N)" means "full name," or full korean name is what I mean. This is mostly just used when speaking to Kwak Jaekyu.
Once the school day was over, you got everything you brought and attempted to flee the premises as quickly as possible. Just in that one day you had had enough Kwak Jaekyu to last you the entire week, and you didn't need any more of him. You were sure you had encountered enough annoying people in your life, but that Kwak Jaekyu could have been their king. So, hoping desperately that you wouldn't run into the little pest, you exited the front doors of the school as quickly as possible.
"Yah, (F/N)!"
It seemed you weren't so lucky.
"What do you want, Kwak Jaekyu?" you groaned, turning around sluggishly to face the boy behind you. He seemed out of breath- you figured he must have run after you. You had left the building pretty quickly after all.
"Ah, um-" Kwak Jaekyu looked at the ground, shuffling his feet for a few seconds before looking back up into your eyes. He just kind of stared, seemingly having forgotten to continue speaking.
"Yah, Kwak Jaekyu, I know you like mentally talking to your alien friends from your home planet, but you could try to not do that while speaking to somebody," you said, snapping your fingers in front of his face to bring him back to earth.
"Oh! I-, I'm just- ah... you left your pen in class," he stuttered until he finally got his message out, bowing his head down and presenting your pen to you with both hands. A little shaken by his abrupt respectful gesture, you hesitantly reached out and plucked your pen from his grasp.
"Uh, thanks?" you muttered, but it ended up coming out as more of a question. He nodded before looking away and clearing his throat.
"Have a nice day, (F/N)," he said hurriedly, then bowed to you again. And just like that, Kwak Jaekyu was gone. You looked after the boy who speed-walked away from you seemingly as fast as he could, all sorts of confusion running through your head.
"How weird," you thought to yourself, wondering what could possibly be the cause of his peculiar actions. Surely returning a pen wouldn't be such a struggle, but it seemed to be awfully hard for him. Suddenly, a honk brought you out of your thoughts, and you looked over to see the car that came to pick you up. Shaking off your confusion, you scampered over to the car and entered the back seat. To be honest, you were somewhat excited to be back with Bangtan instead of at school. Even though you were only friends with a few of them, being with them beat being annoyed by Kwak Jaekyu any day. You could still feel your arm aching after his endless pinching and flicking. Why did he even have to be like that anyways? Couldn't he have been a pest to someone else?
Your driver was never particularly talkative, so you had gotten into a habit of plugging in your ear buds almost as soon as you got in the car. Sometimes you considered speaking to the driver, but you were never one who was good at speaking first, especially to someone you didn't particularly know. The man always seemed kind of cold anyways, so maybe speaking to him wasn't the best choice.
When you arrived to the BigHit building, you quickly thanked the driver and exited the vehicle, allowing him to drive away and park elsewhere. As you did everyday, you walked into the building and approached the receptionist to ask what floor Bangtan was on. And as she did every day, she said "third floor, room 347."
It had been a couple of weeks since returning to school, so you had gotten used to finding the familiar room 347 everyday. By then, you didn't even need to count the plaques, you just knew where to go. You almost considered not asking the receptionist what room they were in anymore since it seemed to be the same one every day, but you didn't want to risk getting it wrong if there ever happened to be a change of plans like there had been the day before.
