Chapter 27

As I sat in the box, I watched as the man brought out a sword. Suddenly, my box floated out of the man's hand.

"Wait, that is mine!!" He shouted at them.

"No, she is not. She belongs to no one but herself." Preston said. I was given to Lachlan who teleported us to Preston's house.

"Here, you need out of here." Lachlan said, opening my prison. I turned fox and stepped out.

Turning human, I walked towards him. "Thank you. We need to get back there though. The man may not be by himself." I said, clearly concerned for the rest of the Pack.

"No. I'm going back, but you're staying here."

"Why? I'm fine, I can help!" I said, being a stubborn teenager.

"Because they obviously want you. You're shape shifting abilities could be very valuable to them." Lachlan says, starting to get annoyed.

"Fine. I'll stay here. But tell Vikk that if anything happens, he has to contact me." I said, slightly upset, but knowing that he was right.

After he left, I sat around in my room, thinking about what had happened. Could I really become other animals besides foxes? Concentrating hard, I imagined myself as a peacock. I felt something changing, and when I looked down at myself, I saw bland gray feathers. I was successful. Turning human again, I walked over to my laptop, deciding to play some Minecraft.

After playing survival and creative single player worlds, I grew bored and started looking for something else to do. It had probably been an hour or so, where were they? Vikk? If you can hear me, why aren't y'all back yet? I thought, not expecting a reply.

Don't worry about us. We're on our way back. I heard Vikk answer. So they were heading back, good. I needed to tell them about the new extension of my power.

When they finally get back, I head downstairs.

"Guys, I need to tell y'all something." I said. "Can we talk in my room?"

"Sure. We need to talk about something too." Rob said. After we got into my room, I managed to turn into a kitten. Looking up, I walked around, showing it off before turning human again.

"Look, I can become other animals besides a fox." I said, super happy.

"That's really cool. Good job!" Jerome said. "But can you become a bacca?" I concentrated, imagining his Minecraft skin, and feel it happening. I looked down at myself, and saw a perfect bacca. "Cool!!" He said.

"Anyway, Ashley, please shift back, and we need to talk about the dreams. We obviously can't meet again in the clearing, so where else could we go?" Vikk asked. We all sat around and thought about that.
