When I bent down to retrieve my binder, I got a question from Vikk about Liam. After answering it, I felt like someone was watching me. As I looked around for the culprit, I was suddenly forced into the body of a mouse. Shifting, I fought against it, but when I realized that I was just wasting energy, I began to shriek. Almost instantly, I was hit by what seemed to be an owl's wing, and as I succumbed to the darkness, I felt myself being picked up by talons.
Rob's POV
As soon as we heard the shriek, we rushed up to Ashley's room and thrust open her doors, only to be met with an empty room and an open window.

"Ash?" I asked, stepping into the room. Vikk shook his head, obviously frustrated. Last time I'd seen him like that was when he couldn't reach Mitch.

"I can't get through to her. Either she is just unconscious, or they already have her in their facility." Vikk said, clearly hoping that it isn't the latter. Suddenly, my attention was drawn to a feather by the open window. Crossing the room, I bent over and picked up the white feather with light gray horizontal stripes on it. Immediately, I recognized it as an owl feather. Picking it up, I turned to the rest of the guys.

"Hey, I found an owl feather over here. Do you all think that she shifted into an owl or something?" I asked, hoping she hadn't run away.

"Probably not, since if she had run away, she wouldn't have shrieked to alert us to something." Mitch said.

"Just hear me out on this one. What if someone forced her into the shape of something small, and then that person turned into an owl and kidnapped her?" Lachlan suggested.

"Lachlan, will you please be serious? My daughter was just abducted, and you felt it was necessary to make a joke about it?" Preston burst out, his patience wearing thin. Jerome walked over to him and gently placed his hand on Preston's shoulder.

"I don't think Lachlan meant for it to be a joke. This idea is entirely plausible after all. If Ash can shape shift other people, why couldn't she have been forced into an unwanted form?" Jerome said, his voice calm and comforting. Just then, we heard a buzzing noise.

"Was that Ashley's phone?" Mitch asked, looking around for it.

"Yeah, and she just got a text from Liam." Preston said, holding the phone up. "It says, 'Are you home yet? I still need to tell you stuff.' Should we text him back?" He asked. We nodded, and he typed in, 'This is Preston. Ash has gone missing, and we think she may have been kidnapped.' Sending it, we waited for a response.

As we waited, we all went back downstairs and began to chat.

"So, I know we need to get her back by Saturday, since we can't postpone our flights again, so wha-" Vikk was cut off by the buzzing of Ashley's phone. 'Hold on, Mial will be there in just a little bit. We probably need to talk face to face.'

"Well, I vote Mitch getting the door, since he knows what Mial looks like. Then we can discuss what we need to get done before Saturday." I said.
