Ch.20- Commitment
"See you'll never understand what I feel, what I see. What's going through my mind, how it feels being me."
(AN- Oh goodness! I decided to check back on my old account and saw that this little story blew up in the 8 months I left? So I decided to upload the rest for you all! I have a new Wattpad account as well with new BNHA stories for anyone interested! My new account if LadysDaze! I hope to see you all there! :D)
The sounds of people scurrying around, bags bumping against the walls and the sudden sounds of people running up and down the staircases, as they had forgotten something filled the dorm building of Class 1-A. Sitting on one of the couches in the shared living space, you scrolled through your phone, absentmindedly missing the commotion.
"Did anyone see where I left my backpack?" Kaminari cried, looking back and forth in an attempt to find where he had placed his bag less than a minute ago, only to lose it the second he took his mind off of it.
"You left it next to the toaster!" Mina cried, throwing on her rain jacket, ready to embrace the elements outside, her rolling bag next to her by the door.
"Anyone else going to the station around 3?" Ochaco asked, several classmates nodding or raising their hands. "Oh perfect! We can go together!"
As to why you were not in a sudden rush or making a rush to pack unlike the rest of your classmates was easy: it was a four day weekend, and thus UA was making all the students return home for the extended weekend, as the school knew that it was important for children to see their parents every once in awhile.
Or at least, if the student had a home to return to.
Your classmates had started leaving as early as when classes ended yesterday, though most were leaving throughout the day today. As such, you watched them all return home to their loving mothers and/or fathers, while you held your phone in your hand, trying to not bum yourself out.
It was petty... but you couldn't help the slight jealousy that they all had somewhere else to return to...
"Are you sure you don't wish to return home with me?" Momo asked you again, her offer to have you stay with her still on the table is appeared. She clung to the largest suit case you had ever seen, her face looking slightly worried for you.
"I'm fine Momo-chan!" You smiled, kicking your legs up onto the table across from you. "I don't wanna ruin your time with your parents, plus it's important for you to spend some time with them... I know I would give anything to spend time with my Dad again..."
The table's legs popped off, causing it to topple over. You sighed and covered your face in embarrassment from your quirk. Momo smiled sadly, lightly rubbing your back in comfort before her phone buzzed.
"That's the car." She spoke excitedly and then waved goodbye to you, the soft clicks of her heels against the floor as she walked away and out the door into the mild downpour.
You sighed and glanced around one last time, seeing everyone excitedly sharing plans and stories of what fun they would be having. Sighing, you got up easily flying under the radar as you walked to your room to get some peace and quiet. And to clear your mind for a bit... Lord knows you needed it currently.
It had been a quiet few hours of surfing the web and watching some of your favorite vines to cheer you up when your happy little bubble of not giving into self pity was bursted when their was a sudden booming knocking on your door.
