Drink away the sorrow in your heart

So this was requested - thank you very much! Hope I did alright...
To everyone else who has put in a request do not worry it is on its way just going to take weeks - sorry!

I collasped onto the bed. My legs ached and burned and my eyes couldn't stay open a second longer.
Something ran up both my legs and then a body squeezed between them, the head resting above my belly button. I peaked down to see the eager face of my beloved boyfriend. "Newt please I'm so tired."
"I can tell love." Newt said running his nail in circles on my stomach.
"Then let me sleep." I groaned.
He chuckled. "Not until you shower smelly! I just had the sloppers clean our sheets."
I groaned again. Louder. "But I'm tired...!"
Newt slipped out and grabbed my hands, forcing me to sit up. "Come on love! I'll get you your lazy clothes and dinner in bed if you shower."
I smirked. "You know how to work a lady!"
He shook his head. "No i know how you work" he laughed as i slopped off to the shower, quickly catching up with me. "I love you."
I kissed him our daily routine. "I love you more!" I said shutting the door so he couldn't complain.

In the morning i slipped out of Newt's warm embrace, got changed and kissed his forehead. He groaned, rolling over and grabbed my arm. "Stay?" He whined.
I wanted to. I really wanted to slip back into bed and snuggle with him for another hour but i mustn't and it broke me. "You know i can't Newt."
"But i know you want to." He murmered, his morning hair splayed out on the pillow.
I smiled sadly kissing him delicately. "I'll see you later Newt."
For us this was a daily routine, he knew i couldnt stay, and i knew he would beg but there is nothing we can do about it and we got on with that. Always waiting to be back with each other so we could snuggle and love one another. It was our life and i wouldn't change it!

Little did i know it was going to change no matter my opinion:

When i ran through the maze doors back to the glade's green grass, i could feel that something was wrong. A gut instinct. The whole place seemed empty and cold. And there was no Newt waiting for me at the door. I jogged to the map room, passing a few gladers on my way. They all gave me a weird look and whispered to their mate.
"Hey Minho whats going on? Why is everyone acting weird?" I said entering the concrete building.
Minho scurried around me shutting the door. "Draw your map and I'll talk."
I rushed my map aiming mor for a fast time than quality. Didn't matter anyway, not a bit was different from last month.
Minho sat on the desk opposite me, leaving me to bite my nails. "Whats wrong Minho? Everyone looks at me weirdly and Newt wasn't at the door, he's always at the door!"
Minho crossed his arms. "You going to let me talk shuckface?" He waited for me to silence. "There was a new greenie today... another girl."
I drew in a sharp breath, the air bristling the back of my mouth.
"She's currently in the homestead, she fainted when they got her out the box. Newt is with her." He sat waiting for me to say something.
I stuttered. Another girl? The concept seemed too strange to handle. I had always been the only girl. Always! Now i wasn't? "Newt's with her?" I asked my voice high pitched.
Minho nodded. "Your alright with that shank?"
I nodded, drawing my arms in to hug myself. "Yes of course! He's probably the best to welcome her."
Minho nodded and reopened the door. "Yeah that's what alby said, you go clean yourself up ok? Give the greenie some space."
I nodded and left but minho grabbed my arm on the way out. His voice softer, kinder than before. "Y/n you know who your friends are right? And that we are here to back you right?"
I smiled warmly, touched, he was really an excellent friend. "Thanks Minho." I left to shower.

I have no idea what was going through their minds but everyone was adamant about steering me away from visiting the new girl and my boyfriend. There was always a minor job to do or help needed here and there. It was only at dinner when Newt first appeared the new greenie at his side holding onto the sleeve around his elbow. He sat her down at my table and left to get her and his food.
