Newt imagines 2

Pointless

Newt was bent over the desk working though some maps. His blond hair kept drooping in his eyes and he would have to continuously brush it aside. He leant on the table top his straight arms contracting his biceps like a show just for you.

Speaking of you, you stand in the doorway a huge smile displaying your obvious love from him even when he was at his worst. You stop leaning on the map room entrance and walk in wrapping your arms around Newt's lower torso. You rest your chin on his shoulder, your hands feel his abs relax at the touch.

He lets out a deep sigh. "Hey love."

"Hmm." You purr closing your eyes as you rested against him, the glades day had been its normal, boring day leaving you knackered.

He coils an arm around you edging you round to his side. He places a small kiss on your cheek and then your neck before turning back to the stacks of paper.

"Another pointless day?" You ask, recently he's been studying the maps a lot but then so have all the runners and keepers. You recon that everyone has finally given up with watching the runners disappear each day and return later with nothing.

He straightens fixing his hair again and pulling you into his chest so your face looks up at his. He always says he gets the best view of your eyes in this position. "It was until you arrived." He tenderly kisses you.

"Your so cheesy." You half giggle kissing again.

He pulls away, his soft thumb running under your eyes where you know are bags. He tilts his head, "you haven't been sleeping?" He asks it as a question but might have well of stated it.

You lean against his chest, he's so warm you desperately want to cuddle with him. "I've been lonely." You sigh. The past nights he was too stressed over the maps to sleep.

He lifts your chin like holding a fragile china doll. "That will change tonight sweetheart." He kisses you more passionately than before and you feel a flicker of energy.

You both stand holding for awhile until Newt yawns. "Let's go to bed, I'm not hungry." You say and Newt nods.

So that's what you do, fall asleep intertwined with each other and it was the best nights sleep in a long time.
