The one you fear most

Astro sat on the couch, a guilty look on his face. Veronica held her head while everyone else looked down, also guilty.

"She was taken?" Veronica repeated the same question for the umpteenth time. Astro could only nod. Veronica clenched her fists tightly. She glanced at Plue. "And what about you? Where were you during all this?" Plue gave Veronica a crooked grin and chuckled nervously.

"Uh, playing a game of go fish...?" It was more of a question than a statement. A tick mark appeared on Veronica's head and she wrapped her hands around Plue's neck and squeezed it tightly.

"You dumb cat!" Veronica shouted. Plue struggled to pry Veronica's hands away from his throat and glanced at Zack pleadingly. Zack rushed over to Veronica and pried her hands away from Plue's throat and gave her a disapproving look.

"Veronica, we need to keep a level head. We need to focus on finding Y/N." Zack told. Veronica growled and slapped Zack's hand away.

"That's the thing. We DON'T know where she is! We don't even know if she's alright! She could be bleeding out for all we know!" Veronica shouted. Zack frowned and clenched his fists.

"Well strangling Plue and panicking about it isn't going to bring her back!" Zack shouted. Astro gritted his teeth and clapped his hands over his ears as he curled up into a tight ball, his guilt eating up inside of him. Kennedy noticed Astro's distressed look and furrowed his brow in worry. A look of determination then crossed his face and he marched right up to Zack and Veronica.

"Guys calm down! Instead of fighting we should be out there looking for Y/N! Plus you're both making Astro distressed!" Kennedy yelled. Veronica glared at Kennedy.

"Stressing Astro out!? Well he should be distressed! He had one simple job and he couldn't even do that right! Ugh useless!" Veronica shouted. Kennedy growled at this. He then pointed a finger at Veronica.

"You're the LAST person I want to hear that from! I bet you wouldn't have been able to protect her like he does!" Kennedy shouted. Veronica laughed at this.

"Yeah, that's right. I wouldn't protect her like he does because I would have done a better job!" Zack, Veronica and Kennedy kept arguing with each other while Astro laid on the couch. Plue sniffled and glanced at Astro teary eyed. Astro saw his look and his eyes widened. He then clenched his fists and sat up. Plue watched with wide eyes as Astro stood up and made his way towards the front door. Plue chased after him as he walked outside.

"Wait! What do you plan on doing?" Plue questioned as he stood a little ways away from Astro. Astro had his back facing the small feline and he began to shake. He then looked up, rage and anger evident in his eyes.

"I'm going to go and bring Y/N back! I'll make sure of it that she comes back safely. I owe her that much after all." Astro told as he glanced back at Plue. Plue's eyes widened. He then wiped his tears away and nodded.

"Aye, we'll get her back!" Plue exclaimed as he ran over to Astro. He climbed up onto his shoulders and held onto his hair. "Let's go!" Astro nodded and immediately took off for the skies.

You groaned as an aching throbbing entered your head. You went to hold your hand to your head but found that you couldn't.

"Hey, she's waking up!" A young boy's voice cried. You furrowed your brow in confusion and slowly opened your eyes. To your relief, the place you were in was quite dark. You propped yourself up onto your shoulders and looked around. Where were you? "Hey, are you alright?" You turned towards the source of the voice and your eyes widened. Leaning down next to you was a boy who looked to be slightly older than you. He had orange hair, sky blue eyes and slightly tanned skin. He wore a simple white button up shirt with a pair of blue jeans. The boy smiled at you, clearly relieved that you were awake.
