Until we meet again

Astro stared down at you with wide eyes. 'Nonononono! This can't be happening!' Astro thought desperately. You laid limp in his arms. Astro gritted his teeth and held you to his chest tightly as he cried into yours.

"Y/N, Y/N! Please, hang in there!" Astro begged, his tears dampening your clothes. Astro continued to cry into your unmoving chest. Wait, unmoving? Astro's eyes snapped open and he shot up and stared at you with wide eyes. He then pressed his ear against your chest and gasped. "She's not breathing!" Astro cried. Everyone gasped.

"What!?" A panicked look crossed Astro's face and he looked up at the others desperately.

"W-what do I do!?" Astro cried. Everyone turned towards Veronica. Veronica's eyes widened and she nodded.

"Astro, are you able to produce air?" Veronica questioned. Astro nodded.

"Y-yeah, I think so. Why?" Veronica nodded and walked over to him. She then crouched down beside you.

"I need you to give her CPR." Astro gave her a look of confusion.

"What's that?" He questioned. Veronica shook her head.

"I'll explain later! For now I just need you to follow my instructions. First, pinch her nose and tilt her chin up slightly." Veronica instructed. Astro nodded and pinched your nose. He then tilted your chin up slightly and looked at Veronica while awaiting for her next set of instructions.

"Okay I've done that, now what?"

"Okay, now put your lips on hers and blow some air into her while pinching her nose shut. After each breath, make sure to press on her chest three times." Veronica told. Astro nodded and pressed his lips to yours. He then began to do the procedure under Veronica's supervision. Plue would have made a comment but considering that your life was on the line, he decided to shut his trap for once. Finally after a few more breaths, you began to breath again. Astro and everyone else sighed in relief.

"She's breathing again." Astro muttered. Veronica nodded.

"Yes but she's not out of the dark yet. We need to get her to the hospital ASAP." Veronica said with urgency laced in her voice. Astro nodded and picked you up. He then flew towards the exit and burst out of the sewers. Everyone watched with wide eyes as he flew past them with you in his arms. Veronica gestured to everyone else. "Come on! Let's go!" Everyone nodded and followed Veronica to the hospital.

Astro paced around the operation room nervously. He glanced every now and again at the doors but no matter how many times he begged, he wasn't allowed inside. Astro twiddled his fingers together until he heard a group of familiar voices calling his name.

"Astro!" Everyone cried as they ran up to Astro. Astro smiled slightly at them but worry was still evident on his face. He then glanced back at the doors leading into the operation room. Veronica frowned and looked at the doors.

"She's still in there?" She questioned. Astro nodded.

"Yeah, they said that it was going to take a while." Astro told. Veronica nodded. Everyone then heard a beep and Plue pointed up at the operation light.

"Hey, the operation light is off, the must have finished the operation!" Plue exclaimed. Not a moment later did the doors burst open and three doctors were pushing a bed towards one of the rooms. Astro's eyes widened and he along with everyone else ran after the bed which you laid in. You were brought to one of the hospital rooms and was immediately hooked up to a lifeline and other essentials. Astro watched helplessly as the nurses and doctors inserted a needle into you which lead to some type of clear liquid. They then placed an oxygen mask on your face. Once they were done with their job, they turned around and left the room. Astro and the others immediately rushed to your side while Veronica was dragged outside by one of the doctors. Probably to inform her of your condition.
