Sands of Time

You and Astro were walking through the dim lit hallways when you heard someone call out your name.

"Y/N! Astro!" The voice was high pitched and sounded oddly familiar. Your eyes widened in realisation.

"Plue!" You called. Plue dashed around the corner and smiled when he saw you.

"Y/N!!!" Plue exclaimed as he ran over to you, tears and snot running down his face. You smiled, your own tears pricking the corners of your eyes. You then ran towards him and you scooped him into your arms and hugged him tightly. The others then ran around the corner and sighed in relief when they saw the two of you.

"Y/N! You're alright!" Reno cried as he ran over to you and ruffled your hair. You grinned at him and nodded. Reno then glanced at Astro and frowned. Astro saw this and flinched. He then held his arm as he looked to the side, shame written all over his face. Plue frowned. He then looked up at you and gasped when he saw the bruises on your neck.

"Y/N, did Astro...?" You looked down at Plue and handed him to Reno. Everyone watched you with wide eyes as you walked over to Astro and took his hand in yours. Astro jumped and looked at you with wide eyes. You smiled warmly at him.

"Astro isn't a threat. He won't hurt me." You told as you squeezed his hand. Astro bit his lip and looked down. Everyone gave each other unsure looks. Reno then took a step forwards.

"Y/N, Astro may be our friend but we have to remember, he still has super human strength and it is possible for him to go out of control. I mean, look at the bruises on your neck, he did that didn't he?" You and Astro both flinched. You then frowned at Reno.

"Back off! Astro is now back in control. Whatever made him like this in the first place has something to do with the planet. Let's hurry up and find what we're looking for and leave." You told. Everyone else sighed and nodded. You then walked forwards with Astro's hand in yours. Everyone then followed behind. Astro grew nervous as he walked by your side. He didn't want to go out of control again and hurt you. Astro looked down in shame. He couldn't risk it. Slowly, Astro let go of your hand. You turned towards him and gave him a questioning look. "Astro?" Astro shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest.

"I'm going to stay back a bit, I'll wait until we're out of this place before I even think of going near you. I don't want to risk hurting you." Astro told. You frowned at this. You were then about to reason with Astro when you heard a noise in the distance. You all looked forwards and your eyes widened when the same pink flamingo trotted towards you. Plue smiled and ran up to it.

"Pinky!" Plue exclaimed as he jumped up onto its back and began to pet its head. A compartment in the flamingo bird then opened, revealing an hourglass. Your eyes widened as well as everyone else. Plue then grabbed the hourglass and saw that it was a mechanical one. It had buttons on the bottom. You walked over to Plue and grabbed the hourglass from him.

"Is this the hourglass which leads us to finding the next document?" You questioned. The flamingo nodded. It then turned towards Astro and walked up to him. Astro stared at the flamingo for who knows how long until he finally nodded.

"Okay, I understand." The flamingo smiled at Astro and sat down on the ground. The light in its eyes then went out as it became in active. A tear rolled down Astro's cheek as he crouched down to the flamingo and patted its head. "Goodbye, old friend." Astro then stood up and looked at you. "I know where the next document is."

"Where?" Astro smiled and gestured around him.

"It's here. The sixth document is right here in this laboratory." Astro told. Your eyes widened at this. You then looked down at the hourglass and hummed in thought.
