3rd Person POV

“Well, look around see if you can see anything.” The Doctor replied to Clint. Everyone looked about in attempt to find a way of escape.

“What about that manhole over there?” Bruce suggested, pointing to a bit further up the street. “We could climb down into the sewers and walk just about anywhere, to the surgery, to the tower, anywhere, hell we could even smuggle out civilians.”

“Good. Yes!” The Doctor said after thinking for a second and pointing at Bruce.

“Yes, but those guards will see us; there are no vehicles to block their view from us over there.” Thor stated.

“We could sneak down this road and look for another one, there’s bound to be.” Bruce replied.

“Or we could distract them, send them somewhere else, like throw a rock, just anything to divert their attention.” Clint also proposed. “I could sneak down and check for one and come back for you guys.”

“Okay, that sounds like a plan, we’ll wait here.” The Doctor assured Clint and nodded a good luck to him. He crawled away using cars and trash cans for cover.

“What are we going to do with these guys?” Tony asked, referring to the three unconscious individuals who they had been carrying around for a while now. The Doctor looked down at Martha remorsefully. He opened her eyelid a bit just to reassure himself that her eyes had returned to their natural brown eyes; to his relief they had.

“Just let them rest, I guess.” Bruce advised. “It’s what Clint did when he was… compromised, so maybe they’ll be fine tomorrow.”

“Then what?” Asked Thor, “We march back to the tower for a third time? I don’t think I could leave that place again without achieving something.”

“We did achieve something, we got Martha back.” Tony tried but Thor shook his head at him.

“Who was already under order to return to your base and kill us all! She would have come back, with or without our help. No, next time we go back, we have a plan, and we stop Loki once and for all, I cannot bear to think of him continuing on like this for much longer.”

“I’ll second that.” Bruce agreed and Tony nodded his head.

“And my TARDIS is still up there, who knows what they’re doing to it.” The Doctor added.

Clint reappeared and sat back in his original place beside the Doctor behind a cab. “There is another one way down by the third street lamp on the left but it’s beneath that bus, and I don’t think we could fit under it, never mind them.” He informed them while waving his hand at the three indisposed heroes.

“Alright so our only option is to go down that one. Anyone have any suggestions on how to distract those guys?” Bruce asked. The five of them sat for a few moments in deep thought, trying to figure out a way to fool the guards, when

“If one of us were to smash one of those widows over there, it should give the impression that we’re hiding in there and hopefully, they’ll go inside the building to look for us and we could sneak down into the sewer and be out of harm’s way easy peasy.” The Doctor finally put forward. The rest of the group shared approving nods.

“Alright, so I’ll send an arrow through the window.” Clint stated, and went to move into position when the Doctor put out his arm to stop him.

“No, they’ll know it will be from us if they see one of your arrows. How good is your throw?”

“I’ve got a good throw.” Thor said before Clint could reply.

“He’ll probably be better than me anyway, if he can throw that hammer then he can surely smash a window.” Clint said in a more patient way than was expected.

“Okay, Thor,” the Doctor started, now turning to Thor, “you just need to throw a stone at one of those widows up there, then we’ll be fine.” Thor nodded and searched around for a rock. After finding one, he focused on one of the windows in on the building opposite. He drew his arm back and threw the stone in the air at an incredible pace. The window smashed as suspected but another, softer, but still noticeable smash was heard, as if the stone had travelled through the entire building and broke its way through and out the other side.

“Jesus, Thor!” Tony whispered/shouted to which Thor replied with a large, smug smile, showing off all his teeth.

All the guards turned immediately, like deer being pursued by a clumsy hunter.

“Did you hear that?” The first one asked. The second one nodded gravely. The first one then motioned his gun to the front of the house and shouted “Let’s go, check it out!” The three Chitauri entered first with the two humans after. Clint scoffed.

“Rookie mistake. You don’t go and check out a place without a look-out.” He said shaking his head.

“Yeah, but if they were smart, we wouldn’t be able to escape, would we?” Tony asked condescendingly.

“Good point.”

They waited until they’d entered the house and then emerged cautiously. Thor lifted the manhole cover up for them while the rest helped carry Martha, Steve and Natasha down into the foul sewers.

“Aw it stinks down here!” Bruce shouted. Everyone had wrinkled up there nose and made comical faces when entering.

“Well, what do you expect, it’s a sewer!” The Doctor shouted back. Thor then climbed in and after one last check, pulled the cover over and they were left in the darkness, trying to navigate their way through.

(*A/N: Special thanks to @LittleJonesx for helping me come up with a way for them to get away. Granted it isn’t the best of escape plans, it’s a bit dull, but it’s better than nothing. This chapter was a bit boring, just mainly dialogue, and I’m sorry, but they needed something that they could all work together on as a group. It might be like this for a while until the rest of the group are awake and ready to fight Loki, but I’ll try and get some good dialogue in and character building when action is missing. If anyone has any conversations you want to see them have just comment below, and I’ll do my best to put them in. WE HIT 1000 READS THIS MONTH GUYS, THAT’S AMAZING CAN’T BELIEVE IT, THANK YOU SO MUCH! As I’ve already said, from now on I’ll dedicate a chapter to whoever votes and comments. This has not been proofread.*)
