A/N: Hey! Your favorite college student writer combo is back! Just kidding, I'm probably not your favorite. Anyway, I'm back. Classes haven't started yet, but once they do, I'll let you know what my updating schedule will be like. I hope you like this part 2. I'm half asleep, but I tried to make it great. Also, side note, my computer tried to auto correct "Thanos" with "Thanks", and I just laughed.  I'm not thankful for that dude killing off Bucky. XD Anyway, have a great night, and I'll update soon! Oh also, I'm sorry if it seems kinda similar to the "Dying Kiss" imagine. Same relative plot line, ya know? Anyway, bye!

-------------------

The world isn't ours to control. It never was, and it never will be. That is something that I had learned very young, and something that I would remember... until the end of the line.

I promised Bucky that we would unite again. Our one kiss would be our inspiration to make it through the fight that we needed so desperately to win.

I only wish it had been enough.

We had been fighting for hours, our limbs growing weary with each stroke of a blow we dealt, and our muscles almost giving out as the next creature stepped up to face us. I was almost ready to give up.

I had made my way to where Vision, Wanda, and Steve were when I sensed a new presence among us. One that radiated pain, destruction, and death.

Thanos.

I watched as he threw my friends to the side like rag dolls, including Bucky himself, the man who stronger than anyone I knew. He walked closer to me until he stopped a few feet in front of me. Thanos began to taunt me, trying to edge me to my own downfall with taunting words. But I held my position.

Eventually... he was bored of the game.

His hand struck forward, and I ducked out of the way before the heavy metal glove hit my head. I dart in between his legs, and use a tree behind me to launch myself onto his back. As he struggled to throw me off of him, I could see movement from the ground. Bucky was awake, and his head was raised in our direction. I pushed myself up further and wrapped my legs around his neck, starting to choke him.

I pulled out my knives, ready to end his life, when his hand grasped my leg and squeezed tightly, the bone snapping audibly in the tense atmosphere. I let out a cry of pain which was silenced when he threw my body back into the thick tree trunk only feet away. Several of my ribs had cracked, and I felt myself drown in my own pain. My vision wavered as Thanos began to walk towards me again, and I closed myself as I waited for the final blow.

"No!"

My eyes flashed open wearily, to see Bucky on his hands and knees, attempting to stand. His eyes were rimmed red, and he gritted his teeth as he tried to stand. "Leave her alone."

"Oh... you're her boyfriend are you?" Thanos grabbed me by the straps on the front of my uniform, and pulled me slowly towards where Bucky was, ignoring the small cries of pain that escaped my lips. "You want me to spare her, don't you?"

"Stop." He tried pushing himself up onto his feet, but failed, only landing on his back once again.

"Change is all about sacrifice." Thanos sighed, almost with sympathy in his tone. "Our universe won't be better, if we don't give something up. I gave up my own daughter. The ultimate sacrifice, if we're honest." A dark chuckle escaped his lips as he dropped me and I let out a sharp gasp of pain as I hit the ground feet away from Bucky. "You can't save everyone."

"Take me instead." Desperation had leaked into his voice, and I turned my head to see him off his back, and on his knees. His eyes were filled with exhaustion and pain as he looked at Thanos. "Kill me instead."

"N-No." I tried to sit up, but only ended up back down as gut-wrenching pain spread throughout my own body with the motion.

Bucky glanced at me, and smiled sadly as he looked at me.

"It's okay, doll." His blue eyes began to pool with tears. "I've lived 100 years already. And I've already known what love is... I met you. Maybe you feel the same too, but I can't let you die. Not this young, and not this day. Not until later, when you're an nice old lady who lived out her life. You have to let me do this, doll."

"I can't." I feel my tears of pain morph into tears of emotion as I looked at Bucky.

"Y/N-"

"This is very sweet..." Thanos interrupted, and walked closer to me as he continued to speak. "Sickening, actually...."

"But...?" I swallowed the lump in my throat as he knelt next to me.

"But sometimes..." His hand wrapped around my neck, and I gasped as he began to suffocate me. "The biggest sacrifices have to be pushed by others around you."

"No!" Bucky cried out, and a moment later, a loud snap filled the air. A sharp pain rain down my neck, to my spine, and to the tips of my toes. My vision began to grow blurry, and my hearing fuzzy, and it only took seconds before my world went dark, leaving behind a man that loved me dearly, and one that I had been so willing to sacrifice my life for.

 Until later, Bucky Barnes.

A/N 2: Aaaaand we all know what happens to Bucky later in Infinity War. :(((((((((

This was so depressing. I'm so sorry.

I'll write something happier next time, I promise.
