Emma

I was so sore that I had to take a leave that Monday to recover.

"Ugh," I cringed, as I got back in bed.

"Sorry. I should have resisted you yesterday," Gavin apologized. He hovered over me, worrying.

"No. Ako naman yung makulit eh. I missed... us."

He smiled and kissed me gently. "Did I please you, Sweetheart?"

"Yes, sobra," I sighed, happily. Some muscles in my lower parts are complaining, sure, but my heart and my reproductive system are having a celebration. "Wait, si Lily."

"Si Mama na bahala maghatid sa school, tapos ako na ang susundo. Just rest, I don't think you should move today."

I chuckled. "Thank you. But, can I at least take a shower?"

He didn't join me, unfortunately, kasi daw iba na naman yung mararating ng shower namin.

When Lily got home, we decided to sleep in the other room because... well, mahalay na yung memories nung bed ko, parang hindi ako ready patulugin yung anak ko dun.

Even with that happening, Gavin never assumes that our alone time would end up in bed. There were even times when he won't come in because, "I'm too horny, Emma," he would explain, apologetically. He would rather stay away than make me feel like I had to give in.

We would only do it if I was okay with doing so, and every time, I would say a prayer of thanks that I was with Gavin.

Pero rare din ako tumanggi. Sarap eh. And mahal ko. Best combination. EVER.

And because we have a child, minsan talaga kailangan creative.

One time, we were already starting but Lily suddenly woke up.

Gavin said, "Pwede bang ikaw muna magpatulog ulit." He needed to calm down Junior first.

"Sige, ako na kay Lily. Pero wag mong ikalma yan. Dapat ready pa din when I get back."

Ayun, pagbalik ko, sa kitchen na namin tinapos.

Another time, my parents stayed over to visit Lily so we didn't have a room. We ended up having a go at the back seat of my car (parked at the garage of our house).

My mother sleepily asked when I got back in, "Anak? Kababalik mo lang pagkahatid sa labas kay Gavin?"

"Opo, Mommy, napahaba lang yung goodbye." I smiled then went in.

Even with all our time together, we made sure Lily was our priority. She was progressing well in school and has been accepted to a big school next year.

"Sweetheart, I'm worried. Ang dami kong nababasa on bullying these days," Gavin shared one time.

"Don't worry, Daddy. Lola Mimi told me that if someone is mean, always tell you and Mommy and my teachers," Lily assured.

I knew Gavin still worried and I shared this but for now, all we can do is prepare Lily.

"Lola Mimi also taught me the Karate Chop! Hiyaaaaaahhhhhh!" She then went around the living room, acting like the Karate Kid.

Lola Mimi still gives us tips and takes Lily willingly when we want to go out on dates. "Dalasan niyo! You guys don't go out enough. Miss na miss ko na kaya ang apo ko!"

"I miss you, Lola Mimi! Even if hindi naman mag-date sila Mommy, always sila magkiss at home."

"Lily!" We reprimanded.
