Studying Sessions

For the next few days, all students from Class 1A spent all their time studying and training for our final exams. All everyone would talk about were our subjects we had learnt and found difficult more than others, or exchanging our training techniques we had been doing. For training, me and Shouto would either train together with our physical strength, and sometimes with our Quirks, or we'd train separately, either in our private gym or at home. I wanted to train the amount of time I could use my Quirk before my skin started to burn. I tried to rely on my own strength rather than my costume to control the heat against my skin. I mostly tried to study as I had done more training overall than studying. I would sometimes study with Shouto, or alone, but a text from Kirishima caught my attention.
"Hey, it's Kirishima! Are you still down for studying with me and Bakugou -K"
I remembered I had invited myself with those two when they had a study session together. I then remembered that I was slightly annoyed with Bakugou after his behaviour last time I saw him. I hesitatingly replied.
"Hey! Yeah, sure. What time are you planning to meet -T"
"Great! We're planning on meeting at the cafe near the mall around 2. Is that okay? -K"
"Yep! I'll see you there! -T"
I checked the time and saw it was 12. I had two hours to get ready. I got changed into some black leggings, red shirt and tied my hair into a messy bun, adding some cute white shoes to my outfit. I gathered my revision supplies into a bag and left my house. I walked to the location while listening to music. Reaching the mall, I felt a hand on my shoulder. Turning around, I was greeted by a friendly smile.
"Hey!" beamed Kirishima, wearing a white shirt and shorts. I smiled back.
"Hey," I said, facing him.
"Were you just arriving?" he asked.
"Yeah, I was about to get my purse out to buy a drink," I said, taking my bag off and grabbing my purse.
"Okay, let's go inside," he said, grinning and gesturing me first. I smiled and nodded, and walked forward, with Kirishima behind me. We exchanged conversations about our training sessions before reaching the entrance of the cafe we planned on going to. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a pair of crimson eyes.
"You idiots are late," growled Bakugou, crossing his arms. He wore a red shirt with a black jacket and trousers. I sighed and shook my head as Kirishima waved his arms around.
"We were just talking, but we're here now," chuckled Kirishima, not phased by Bakugou's rage.
"Do you want me to teach you or what?" huffed Bakugou, tapping his finger against his arm.
"Come at me with all you got!" grinned Kirishima, immediately taking his books out of his bag and sitting down at a booth Bakugou was sitting at. I joined Kirishima at the same booth, sitting opposite him, taking my own stuff out. Bakugou then sat next to me.
"Now, I'm kind of struggling with these equations," mumbled Kirishima, pointing to his book then at mine.
"Right, so, you'll want to copy this sample here..." I said, pushing my book to him so he could see. He started to copy it, then turned to me.
"Okay, so what about these numbers? What do I do with them?" he asked, scratching his head.
"Put them on that side, you idiot," growled Bakugou, pointing to the spreadsheet included.
"Tch, don't be rude," I mumbled, not looking at Bakugou. I heard him growl next to me.
"Heh, it's okay, I understand what he means," chuckled Kirishima, and began to write. Kirishima's expression started to rise and he wrote quicker, showing he had begun to understand the problem. Shortly after, he slammed his pen against the book. "Done! Thanks! I understand it now!" beamed Kirishima, throwing his fists in the air. I smiled and nudged Bakugou, who glanced down at me.
"Why you nudging me?" growled Bakugou. I glared at him.
"I'm going to order drinks for us..." I said, then sighed, "do you want anything?" I asked, still mad he was acting like this.
"Don't bother," he said, then turned away from me, facing Kirishima and continued to teach Kirishima. He didn't move from his seat. I sat there in disbelief, unsure of what he was acting so stupidly. Even Kirishima seemed to notice how angry I was getting. Before he could speak, a waitress arrived to our table.
"Here are you drinks," she said, smiling as she handed out three drinks. As she handed mine, I took it and noticed it was my favourite drink I drank when I studied. I stared at it for a while before turning to Bakugou who paid the waitress. He... remembered. He continued to teach Kirishima the subjects which he found difficult. I stayed silent, quietly studying on my own, then I realised Kirishima had left to go to the bathroom. Bakugou started to go over Kirishima's notes. I then felt myself smile.
"Thank you," I said softly. Bakugou's eyes glanced at me but looked back down.
"Sorry about what happened," he mumbled. He was talking about his outburst. He slowly took that same wrist, gently rubbing it with his thumb, avoiding eye contact. "I... didn't hurt you..." he mumbled, his cheeks turning a slight pink shade.
"It's fine," I said, but received an unsatisfied  grunt.
"Tell me the truth," he mumbled. I sighed.
"Fine... it hurt a little. I didn't expect you to act that way the other day," I softly said. There was silence between us.
"Sorry..." he mumbled, then turned his head to me, "I never meant to hurt you." His eyes were soft and gentle, an unusual feature for him, but in a way, I felt so relaxed while looking into his eyes. I smiled and placed my free hand over his.
"I know you didn't, and I know you act like an idiot when you're competitive," I said, which made his eyes turn angry again, making me let out a snort as I saw his changed expression, but continued in a more serious tone, "but don't hurt others who care about you, okay?" His eyes then relaxed again. He was silent for a while before smiling softly.
"I'll try..." he said, making me smile warmly. I felt my head tilt forward, placing soft lips upon his, feeling his lips quickly wrap around mine as they touched. We became lost in the moment before a chuckle came from the side of our table.
"Am I interrupting something?" chuckled Kirishima, making my head lurch back in surprise. Bakugou's head quickly spun around, his usual angry expression returning to his face, but his cheeks extremely red with embarrassment.
"Shitty Hair! Who told you to come back?!" yelled Bakugou, completely forgetting what I told him a few seconds ago. I shook my head at his reaction. Kirishima laughed.
"I'm joking, I'm joking," chuckled Kirishima, then smiled nervously to me, "I'm sorry, Todoroki." I smiled.
"It's fine. Now what would you like to study next?" I asked, turning his attention to the book.
"Oh, yeah," said Kirishima, pointing to his book, "I don't get this at all." I started to read the section in my own book, but got interrupted by Bakugou.
"You dumbass! Do this! It's simple!" yelled Bakugou, leaning closer to the book. Kirishima quickly grabbed his pen and started to write down what Bakugou was saying.
"So, like that?" asked Kirishima, finishing a question.
"No, Shitty Hair!" yelled Bakugou, rolling his book up and hitting Kirishima's head with it, "It's the complete opposite!" Kirishima quickly scribbled out his previous answer and wrote out the new one. I sat there nervously, seeing if I had to hold Bakugou down before he started killing Kirishima. I then saw a nervous waitress staring at our table, uncomfortable of what she was seeing. I chuckled nervously, embarrassed at how loud Bakugou was being, but slightly liked this feature about him. With that, I looked at the enraged boy, still hitting the focused Kirishima's head. I smiled up at the boy, despite his angered expression on his face. Even though he's rudely competitive, he still has a kind heart. He may rarely show it, even to his parents, but under all that anger, he's got a good personality. It's something I'm... starting to fall for.
