"Homura, are you okay over there?" Shouto asked through my phone. Bakugou had put me on his back again, and was now walking calmly towards our planned meeting point.
"Yeah! How about you guys? Were you able to make a clean escape?" I asked. My heart was still racing on what had just happened, but now wasn't the moment.
"I think so," he answered, and I breathed a sigh of relief, "we escaped from behind. The pros are giving us evacuation instructions."
"Good! We're in front of the train station," I said, to where Bakugou had put me down and given me his shoulder to lean on so my wounds wouldn't worsen. "Looks like we're out of the range of that shockwave. The recovery was successful!"
"Oi, you didn't rescue me, okay?" Bakugou harshly whispered, "you just happened to be flying overhead and I took that chance." I rolled me eyes. Now he's back to normal. But then, he looked to the side in shame. "I didn't want to get in All Might's way." I looked at him, feeling a little sorry he felt he was in the way. I pushed aside he last outburst and went back to the call.
"Hurry and be here soon," I said, hanging up and turning to Bakugou. Before I could say a word, the screen above the station lit up. It was a news report. An urgent one. It was a bird's eye view of the battlefield we had just been at. However, the area was completely wiped out.
"This scene looks like it's straight out of a nightmare!" said the report, "in an instant, half of Camino Ward has been destroyed! Currently, All Might is fighting the villain thought to be the ringleader! I can't believe it! There's just one villain! He's destroying the city and is more than holding his own against the Symbol of Peace!" My eyes wouldn't leave the screen. I was in utter shock. I couldn't believe my eyes. I grabbed Bakugou's hand, and he held it tightly. We heard so many comments, both negative and positive, but our ears tuned them out. Suddenly, All For One raised his hand to All Might. I saw a small figure by his side jump away, but All Might didn't move. The wave of power that come from the villain was unbelievable. I had to squint my eyes from how bright it was from the screen. When the smoke cleared, my eyes widened. My mouth fell open a little, not believing what I was seeing. All Might... looked beaten and broken... blood was falling from his head. His body looked fragile and weak. His smile was gone. His hair was down. His hero costume seemed to sag over him. I couldn't believe my eyes. Neither could Bakugou. I heard him gasp. I glanced at him and saw his eyes were wider than mine. He was stuck. "Um... what's...? Huh? Can you all see this? All Might has... deflated..." the reporter couldn't even form words. I'm not sure anyone could. All Might glared at the villain, as if he was ignoring the sudden change of people's views on him. Light formed from his hand, and a look of determination flooded his hollow eyes. However, the villain raised a finger, and he spoke, to which we couldn't hear, but whatever he said, All Might's face changed. It was as if his whole world had crumbled right in front of his eyes. He seemed to slump, as if not believing a word the villain had told him. It made me clench my hand tighter around Bakugou's and he did the same. It was like he was giving up.
"Win..." gasped Bakugou, his voice raspy and full of worry. The concerned mutters of worry filled the voices of many around us. Our eyes darted around, as the moral of others soon started to rise higher than I had ever witnessed. My breathing rapidly increased. Bakugou's hand squeezed tighter. His teeth were clenched hard, as if he was trying not to cry. I gently rubbed my thumb against his skin, and stared at the screen.
"Win..." I muttered to myself.
"Win!" screamed Bakugou.
"Win!" I repeated, louder than ever.
"All Might!" we screamed. As if he heard, All Might's arm inflated, pulsing with electricity. His weak smile returned as his eyes shone again with determination. However, the villain flew high up in the air, and continued to talk to All Might. He raised his hand towards him, but a large burst of flames engulfed the villain. My eyes widened. I knew exactly who that was. From where we were, I could easily hear the screams of the Pro Hero, Endeavor.
"Dad..." I whispered, completely surprised and relieved that he was helping his rival. His rings of screams to All Might were a mix of tease but support. I felt my knees go limp from his sudden change of heart. I saw the villain about to attack him, and I got so tense. However, the Pro Hero, Edgeshot, stopped him. The Pro Hero, Kamui Woods, took the other unconscious pro heroes away from the battle. As the two pro heroes helped distract the villain for All Might to recharge, the screams of everyone rang through our ears. We wanted him to hear. We wanted him to keep going. The number one hero could never lose. It's impossible. His name rang over the city, so much so, that I bet he could hear. However, the shockwaves returned, wiping out the heroes except All Might. To our horror, as soon as the smoke cleared, the right arm of this villain got larger with pure evil. I shivered in fear. Never had I ever seen something like this before, not even from stories or history books. He flew towards All Might with such force that I wanted to close my eyes, but I couldn't move a muscle. Their fists collided, and it almost impossible to see what was happening. For what I saw, there was a blood trail from All Might as All For One pushed him back. It wasn't until a couple seconds of being pushed back, that All Might resisted even further. I really thought his bones would break, and I clenched my teeth and hands. I then saw that his right hand deflated and his left inflated, like his power transferred somewhere else, and punched the villain in the face, breaking the mask he wore. The villain looked at All Might and started to power up his other arm, but All Might was ready. He raised his broken arm, looking a lot like Midoriya's arms when he breaks them, and seemed to grab a ball of light, that seemed to heal him instantly. The screams from All Might as his fist drew closer to his enemy, echoed over the city, even we could hear it. His fist hit the villain with such force, even the helicopter documenting flew around widely, but soon returned to filming. The crowd around us froze in silence. Not a word was uttered, until I heard Bakugou gasp is disbelief. All Might stood over the unconscious body of his enemy, dripping with blood from his nose and mouth. With a small pause, he lifted his arm up, struggling to keep it up. However, his arm inflated, holding his fist high in the air. My smile slowly returned, and like everyone else, a scream of cheers erupted from my mouth.
"All Might...!" yelled the broadcaster, "the villain has stopped moving! Victory for All Might! He's standing in victory!"
"All Might! All Might! All Might!" The cheers from the crowd filled my ears. I turned to Bakugou, tears filling my eyes. Even he had some. We hugged tightly, laughing and crying of relief. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and saw Shouto, safe and sound, along with the others. I smiled, and cried into his chest.
"Dad..." I said again, and Shouto pulled my head onto his forehead. He smiled and rubbed my back.
"Yeah..." he breathed and we sighed in relief. We all stood together and departed when things started to die down. Pro heroes were now on the scene and trying to find any civilians who were caught up in the ordeal. We heard the reporter speak into the microphone, but we didn't pay much attention. We just focused on moving away from the crowd. I held onto Shouto who was scolding me for injuring myself. It wasn't until we heard All Might's voice.
"Next..." he said. His finger was pointing directly towards the camera. "Next, it's your turn." Sighs of relief filled the air, and even I smiled along with Shouto. A warning against future villains, despite him being in terrible condition. The cheers of joy rang over the street. Everything would be fine now. Everyone was safe. I turned to Bakugou to hug him, but he didn't look at me. He was staring at Midoriya in a concerned way. He turned away, and looked down, almost in shame. Even though he was here with us now, he still felt distant.
