I fell silent as soon as Bakugou left the room. The whole place around me fell silent, like nothing was happening in the world outside the door. Waiting for my wounds to heal, I couldn't do anything but stay still. I wanted to watch the exam, but part of me didn't want to. Something told me that something bad would happen with those two. I still never understood why Bakugou had so much hate towards Midoriya, but it sort of affected the way he acted. I heard the starting buzzer go off, brining me out of my thoughts. I felt my heart pound against my chest, worried for what was going to happen. The room fell silent again, my own heart being the only sound I could hear. I fell back into my bed, breathing deeply to calm myself down. Why was I worried? I knew Bakugou was a good student, but the thought of Midoriya and Bakugou working together, their grade depending on their teamwork, made me feel sick to my stomach. I brought my dirty hands to my face, rubbing my tired eyes to try and think of something else. In the distance, I could slightly hear faint explosions, making my heart flutter. Every time I heard one go off, half of me feels hopeful while the other felt like panicking. I ended up bringing the pillow to my face, lightly smacking it against my face, muffling the outside world from me. The pillow's warmth settled against my skin, making my eye lids get heavier than they were from when Recovery Girl healed me. Before I knew it, my mind had faded from reality, drifting off into my own dreams.

I was surrounded by a crowd of people, all blurred from moving around. I wasn't too sure on where I was, but the public seemed friendly, so I wasn't too scared. I began to move forward, but it's like my body took ages to take a step. I felt myself force my legs to move up and down, struggling to get further. However, no one took notice of me. I didn't want to cause attention to myself, so I kept at it, secretly panicking. After a few minutes, my head lifted up and saw a single clear figure standing among the crowd. At first, it was a silhouette, standing with their hands in their pockets, hood drawn over their head. I pushed myself forward, trying harder to see behind the darkness. As I slowly drew closer, I noticed the blurred people start to fade away, and the figure started to clear. Their hand rose from their pocket, reaching for its hood. As the hood fell, I noticed spiked hair spring up. The colours and style of clothing started to show, and I started to tell who it was. My lips curved into a smile as I saw an ash-blond boy appear from the silhouette, his small grin beaming at me. My lips formed his name, but no noise came from them. It didn't matter. I continued to draw closer, but Bakugou didn't move. He kept his gaze on me, and his hands later drew up from his pockets to embrace me. Oddly, I began to feel a little weirded out. This wasn't like him, but the sight of seeing him almost drove that thought away. I was so close to him now, and I could almost feel his warmth near me. Just before our skin could touch, I noticed his silhouette persona started to come back. My smile started to fade along with Bakugou, fear replacing it. As I tried to touch his face, he turned to dark mist, the world instantly flashing around me. I squinted from the light, and when it darkened a bit, I reopened them. The place around me was covered with flames, but not the flames I usually make. Something felt different about them. Just to make sure, I opened my palm, trying to extract the flames I thought I had released, but the fire still circled around me. Looking down, I noticed blood trickling down my arms, but I didn't feel any pain. The only sensation I felt was the throbbing of my heart. I tried to move again, but this time, my feet couldn't move from the ground. Panicking, I eagerly looked around, but the flames were too fierce to see anything. From the corner of my eye, I noticed something emerge from the fire. My eyes shot towards them, my arm instantly reacting to them. However, they wouldn't budge. I looked down and saw the blood fall more powerfully, getting more injured from the sudden movement. I still didn't feel any pain from them, but my heart race started to beat faster and faster. I didn't understand what was happening. My head shot back up to the new appearance, trying to figure out what it was. I finally managed to barely see a pair of red eyes shine through the flames. My own eyes widened when I saw who it was. The look of fear on Bakugou's face was something that scared me a lot. I've never seen fear in his eyes, but witnessing it now made my heart almost want to shoot out of my chest. His face finally came out of the fire, looking tense. My mouth opened fast, trying to call for him, but again, no words came out. I could only look at him with worry. He even tried to call out, but nothing happened. Instead, a skinny hand wrapped around his neck, gently stroking his skin. Bakugou's eyes opened wider, sweat visibly falling down the side of his head. I noticed how he started to fall back into the flames, the look of worry expanding on his face. Again, my heart felt like it was going to explode as I watched him start to disappear. My arms tried to reach forward, but I couldn't do anything but watch them fall back down, more blood trickling down them. Silence left my mouth as I tried to scream for him. The flames started to settle, the sound of the crackling started to fade, and all light started to drown out. I was left alone in the darkness. I couldn't feel my arms anymore. I could barely hear my own heartbeat. Everything. Stopped.

"Homura?"
I awoke with a shock, gasping as I leaned up quickly, making the pillow that was on my face fly out of my bed and to my feet.
"Homura? Are you okay?" I turned to the gentle and concerned voice of Shouto, his face close to mine. I blinked a couple times, cautiously looking around. I was on my recovery bed, my dirty hero costume on and the new bandages wrapped around my wound. "Homura?" Shouto repeated once more. I looked at him again, nodding.
"Yeah," I said slowly, then looked towards my arms, "I must've fallen asleep," I said quietly, but my head shot back up. "What was the results about Bakugou and Midoriya?! I have to see!" I began to rush out of bed, but Shouto pushed me back down.
"Calm down," he said, gently stroking the back of my head, "they just finished now."
"What happened?!" I blurted out, instantly sitting up again, only to be pushed back down by Shouto.
"They passed, now sit back down," he sighed. A wave of relief washed over me. I slumped back down onto my bed, relaxing a little. "Are you okay though?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said, closing my eyes and taking a second to maintain my breathing. There was a pause.
"Well, I came down here to get you. Recovery Girl said you're allowed to leave now," he said, pulling away. Clutching my wound gently, I pulled myself off the bed, Shouto close by in case I needed help. "Are you sure you're okay?" Shouto repeated once more. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'm telling you I'm fine. What's wrong?" I asked, growing suspicious of him. He paused again, a hint of worry falling onto his face.
"When I came in, your head was under the pillow. When I pulled it off, you..." he said, then sighed, "you looked so scared." I blinked a couple times, remembering the dream from earlier. Instantly getting worried, I shook my head, and pulled a smile.
"Oh, I'm sure it was just some pain coming from my wound," I chuckled, pointing to the bandage. Shouto looked at me again then to the bandage.
"Alright," he said, turning away, "just making sure." As he walked ahead, my smile instantly dropped. That dream. It wasn't even a dream. It was like a real life horror movie. Nothing about it was enjoyable. I shook my head again, trying to shake the thought, but I couldn't shake the feeling of my heart banging so hard against my chest from the pain and worry of watching Bakugou's eyes pour with fear, only to be taken away from me.
