The next morning, I woke up extremely exhausted. I yawned and starting trying to find my phone by my nightstand, but it wasn't there. Did I leave it on my desk? I started to lean up, letting my eyes open completely but froze. This... isn't my room. I glanced down and saw Bakugou's sleeping face. I tensed up, completely forgetting I ended up here last night. I'm still surprised that he even let me sleep in his bed. I lay my head back down onto the pillow, sighing. It was then when I felt Bakugou's strong arms around my waist, pulling me close to his chest. He started to stir and mumble to himself.
"Five more minutes," he grumbled, his voice muffled by his mouth against my hair. I smiled and began to shuffle closer to him.
"Fine, but soon we need to get up for training," I said, letting his warmth calm my nerves.

We slept in and were late that morning. I'm never going to hear the end of it from the girls and their speculations.

The days of training were intense but worth the hard work. Everyday we had left of being in Gym Gamma, I was practising my two ultimate moves I had come up with. Me. I did that. The idea that I came up with them gave me an extra boost to keep going, despite how many times I felt in pain or if the moves didn't end up the way I wanted them to. No one spoke that much to each other as we were all extremely anxious for the provisional license exam. We knew it was soon, and every hour was more nerve racking as time past.

It was finally the day of the exam, and I've never been more nervous in my whole life. The class piled off the bus, holding our hero costumes in our bags, staring at the National Dagoba Arena where the exam was held in.
"Ah, I'm getting nervous!" breathed Kyoka, her face visually stressed out.
"I wonder what we'll have to do... I wonder if I get my provisional license..." mumbled Mineta, not keeping still for a second.
"Mineta, it's not about whether or not you can! Go and get it!" mumbled Aizawa, bending down to Mineta's level.
"Right, c-course-of!" Minara stuttered.
"If you can pass this test and get your provisional licenses, then your novice eggs will become chicks..." Aizawa stated, "you'll hatch into semi-pros. Do your best." Me and Shouto's eyes met, filled with determination as well as anxiety. As much as we wanted to achieve this title, we were still nervous for what was to come. I gripped onto his arm, and he locked his around mine. This was always something we did for comfort. It was a way to calm ourselves down, which it did in some way at the moment.
"Alright, I'll become a chick!" chuckled Kaminari.
"Let's all call out the usual! Ready, set- Plus..." started Kirishima.
"Ultra!" screamed a man coming out from behind the two boys. After getting a look at his face, me and Shouto's eyes widened. Something about him seemed... familiar.
"You shouldn't just barge in on other people's huddles, Inasa," said a boy wearing the same uniform as that louder kid.
"Oh, no! I am very extremely sorry!" screamed the man, slamming his head into the ground as he bowed.
"What's with this guy trying to get by with just his enthusiasm?!" screamed Kaminari.
"Wait, that uniform..." mumbled Kyota.
"It's from that famous school in western Japan..." said Kaminari.
"UA in the east, Shiketsu in the west..." mumbled Bakugou.
"I wanted to try saying it just once! Plus Ultra! I love UA High School! I am extremely honoured to be able to compete against UA students! I'm looking forward to it!" screamed the student.
"Oh, blood," said one of the female students from Shiketsu, looking at the blood dripping from her classmate's forehead.
"Let's go," mumbled another student, walking away.
"Inasa Yoarashi..." mumbled Aizawa.
"Mr. Aizawa, you know him?" Toru asked.
"He's... strong," Aizawa breathed, "last year, the same year as you guys, Yoarashi got the top scores of those admitted through recommendations, but for some reason, he turned down his acceptance."
"What?! Then, he's a first year?!" Midoriya blurted out. As everyone kept talking, Shouto and I kept our eyes locked towards Yoarashi.
"His name's Inasa Yoarashi? Even though he says he loves UA, he threw away his chance to enroll. I don't get it," said Sero.
"Right? What a weirdo," said Mina.
"He's weird, but he's the real thing. Keep an eye out for him," Aizawa sternly said.
"Eraser? It's you, isn't it, Eraser?!" said a cheery voice, "I've seen you on TV and at the sports festival, but it's been a while since I've seen you in person!" She walked up to Aizawa, who's face had changed to an even more annoyed expression than usual. "Let's get married," she smiled.
"No," Aizawa bluntly replied. The woman burst out laughing.
"No? Good one!" she giggled.
"You're hard to talk to, as usual, Joke," said Aizawa.
"Smile Hero: Ms. Joke! Her Quirk's Outburst!" Midoriya blurted out, his eyes shining, "she forces those near her to laugh, dulling their thinking and their movements! Her fights against villains are full of craziness!"
"If you marry me, then we can make a happy family with never-ending laughter!" grinned Joke.
"A family like that can't be happy," sighed Aizawa. Joke burst out laughing again.
"You two seem close," mumbled Tsu.
"Our agencies used to be close to each other," smiled Joke, "in our cycle of helping and being helped, our mutual love for each other bloomed-"
"No, it didn't," Aizawa interrupted.
"Oh, I love your quick retorts! You're so worth teasing, Eraser!" grinned Joke. Aizawa sighed.
"Joke, since you're here, that means..." started Aizawa.
"That's right. Come here, everyone! It's UA." grinned Joke, turning around.
"Oh, it's the real thing!" said a black haired student.
"Wow, that's amazing! I've seen them all on TV!" a blonde haired student added.
"Ketsubutsu Academy, second years, Class 2! They're my class. Please be kind," Joke announced. The black haired student grabbed Midoriya's hands, smiling hard at him.
"I'm Shindo! UA this year's had trouble after trouble, so it must've been tough!" he said.
"Huh? Ye..." stuttered Midoriya, but Shindo moved on.
"But even so, you all are still aiming to be heroes like this, huh? That's wonderful! A heart of fortitude is what I believe all heroes should have from now on!" he continued, grabbing a couple other students hands, ending with mine while his character sparkled with passion. I didn't know how to react but to stand there awkwardly, raising an eyebrow. His eyes shifted away from me. "From among you, there's Bakugou, who experienced being the center of the Camino incident. You have an especially strong heart. Today, I'll do my best while learning from you!" Shindo removed his hands off mine and raised one to Bakugou, waiting for him to shake it. However, Bakugou smacked it away.
"Stop pretending. What you're saying doesn't match the look on your face!" Bakugou growled, turning away from him as he locked his arm around my waist.
"Hey! Stop being so rude!" Kirishima yelled.
"Another thing! Keep your hands off my girlfriend!" Bakugou growled at the student. I blinked a couple times, but squeezed his hand on my waist, and looked up at Shindo.
"Please excuse his rudeness," I said emotionlessly.
"It's fine! I didn't mean to upset him. It just proves how strong his heart is," Shindo smiled.
"Hey, Todoroki twins! Can I have your autographs? You were both so cool at the sports festival!" a blonde haired girl grinned, skipping over to me and Shouto. We glanced at each other, completely lost.
"Stop being such a fangirl," sighed another student with long black hair.
"You can have my autograph, too," grinned Mineta.
"Hey, change into your costumes and go to the orientation. Don't waste time," Aizawa yelled, walking away into the building.
"Yes, sir!" we replied, following him.

We all gathered in a large room, completely pressed up against each other. It was crowded with different schools with different Quirks and different colours. It was quite interesting to see the many different kinds of students who were taking their exams with us, but quite intimidating.
"Well then, let's do that provisional license thing..." mumbled a man at the front of the crowd, talking into a microphone, "I'm Mera from the Heroes Public Safety Commission. The kind of sleep I like is non-REM sleep... nice to meet you. I've been so busy that I haven't gotten much sleep... we're so short staffed... I'm so sleepy! With that conviction, I will give you the orientation. About the content of the provisional license thing... frankly, all 1,540 examinees here will have to win through a free-for-all exercise! Our society if currently said to be saturated with heroes, and ever since Stain was arrested, many have shown doubts about the current state of heroes. Well, as a private citizen, no matter what the motivation, to tell someone risking their lives to save others not to seek any reward is... it's the ruthless story of these modern times... but anyway, whether it's for compensation or for loyalty and courage... the result of many heroes working hard together to help people and defeat villains is that right now, the time from when an incident begins to when it is resolved, is so short that it'd make you sick. You all are about to receive your provisional licenses and finally throw yourselves into those rapids. Those who can't keep up with that speed will frankly have it tough. Accordingly, what you'll be tested on is speed! The first hundred to fulfil the requirements will pass." The crowd began to murmur worriedly with each other, shocked at the small amount of people that could pass, considering how many people were in this room. "Well, a lot's happened out there in the world, and you know, about luck and everything... so anyway, here are the requirements. The examinee will put three of these targets on his or her body. They can go anywhere as long as it's an exposed area. You can't put them on the soles on your feet or in your armpits. You will also have six of these balls. The targets are made to only light up if they're hit by these balls, and if all three of your targets light up, then you're out. The person who lights up your third target will have it count as their defeat. You get through this round by defeating two people. That's it for the rules. Okay then... after we open, we'll pass out the targets and balls, and then we'll start one minute after we've gotten to everyone."
"'Open'?" Me and Shouto mumbled, our arms pressed tightly together. The room began to rumbled. We looked up and saw the ceiling open up. All the walls slowly fell to the ground, revealing a large area with different types of areas for us to fight in.
"I believe you all have a terrain that you like and dislike," Mera tiredly continued, "use your Quirks well and do your best. Anyway, we arranged for the terrain to be announced like that... but yeah, it's unnecessary. It's because of this that my sleep was... I hope the developments are speedy so that I can rest as soon as possible..."

We all received our targets and balls and our class moved away from everyone. I put all three targets on my chest, knowing it would be almost impossible to hit if burn the balls before hitting them.
"Everyone, don't get too separated! Let's move as a group!" Midoriya shouted.
"Yeah right, this isn't a field trip!" Bakugou yelled, beginning to walk away. He walked passed me and quickly gave a kiss on my cheek. "Don't you dare get eliminated..." he mumbled as he walked away. I smiled lightly. I knew I didn't have to say the same thing back. I knew he'd be one of the first people who'd pass.
"Idiot, wait up!" Kirishima yelled, running after him.
"We're going on our own, too," Shouto said as we began walking away.
"Homura!" I heard the girls yell.
"I'm sorry. It'll be hard for us to use our power in a big group. Be safe," I said, not turning to them. We began to run, far away from our class as they called our names. We didn't turn back. We ran fast through the terrains, finding one that would be appropriate for our Quirks. We ended up at a place full of pipes and metal sculptures.
"Was that a good choice to leave?" I mumbled.
"It's unfortunate to leave them all alone, but they're strong. They don't need protecting. Plus, we need to do this together. It's our promise, remember?" Shouto said softly. I smiled.
"You're right," I said, holding out my hand. He took it and squeezed it hard. This was something we promised throughout our childhood. We needed to do this together, no matter what.

"First test, start!"
